Missed it. But not missed a lot judging by the thread - a gynae rubber gloved dance, Matt vs Kaye and Robbie out of tune - I will make a brew and speed forward on catch up.

Also I loved Tony's bullish attitude to being saved!

Poor Kaye, she wasn't the worst last night (Jayde was worse, for instance), but she seemed to lack focus in the danceoff, while Matt, by far the worst on the night, at least maintained his level. He will be in the danceoff again soon enough.

I loathed the opening pro dance. A whole lot of nothing.

Maybe a foxtrot or AS to Be My Baby for Will? They could go wild and switch to a Mean Streets theme halfway through.

I can't really see it myself, but could Tyler be Alfred Doolittle on his wedding day? Could this be the year that Strictly goes all-in on binmen? Come to think of it, we had Karen and Jayde as cleaning ladies last week, the BDSM Marigolds pro dance this week, and now binmen galore. One of the producers is having some kind of OCD clean-freak breakdown, aren't they? They'll have Helen doing a jive to the Shake 'n' Vac song by week 5.

Hated the pros opening group dance. What was with the fetishistic rubber gloves? Gross.

Matt looked deflated but Kaye wasn't really putting any effort in her dance.

I think they should ditch the Sunday night programme and just do it all on Saturday night

Matt just doesn’t seem “right” to me. I worry for his mental health. I don’t think he’d have taken the “rejection” well if he was voted off tonight.

i dont like the early saturday shows in the series because they go on so long, so if the results came on too that would be even longer!

I'm such a spoiler-free zone, that even when they've been voted off I can't remember who it was.

I'm another one who stays off the spoiler pages so it's a surprise in a Sunday evening

The reason why the results show went to a Sunday- it was originally on a Saturday- was because XFactor did the same thing, and they lost viewers as a result. Catch up tv wasn't really a thing as much. Now Xfactor has finished it could go back to a Saturday but that would be a lot of strictly for one night for many weeks.

I was basically spoilered within 5 mins of getting up today. I hate the pretendiness of the prerecord and I hate passionately ANY "guesswork" after a spoiler is live.

A live results show is what the fans have wanted back for years

Would petition if I knew how to do it. Have decided to be calmer this year and avoid the thread on Sunday til the Result Show

Matt seems to be a very odd duck who has spent far too much time in Las Vegas.

I didn't really know what to expect from him - certainly not the trousers! but I think his heart is in the right place.

Do you think the 'rejection' of being in the dance off is the same regardless of who the judges save, Because it shows the public haven't voted for you.
I do think it will take its toll on Matt as he'll now be worrying about being in the dance off again next week.

Matt looked more disappopinted than Kaye. I think Kaye had resigned herself to it but Matt was genuinely shocked.

I agree @keepcalm11 and as mentioned in the other thread, I worry for his mental robustness as he seems truly fragile to me!

I didn't actually want anyone to go and would have happily had them all there for another week but as someone had to go, I'm glad it was Kaye. She really was stiff as a board. I'm gutted about Kai though as he's one of my favourite professionals.

I wasn't keen on the new female dancer with Neil during Robbie's performance. She seemed so stiff and disjointed, and the dance didn't flow for me at all. Fully appreciate that was maybe how it was meant to be, but I didn't enjoy watching her (or Neil) at all. Kai and Nadiya dancing to it would have been perfect!!

The pro dance at the start was also shit but thankfully I was watching on I player so fast forwarded through it!

I thought the dance off would be Tony and Jayde, and I was really hoping Jayde would go.

They used to in the Good Old Days of early Strictly. We had people on from the costume department on describing why they chose particular styles and materials and all sorts of lovely stuff.

But now we don't . . . 😩😩😩

Like the good old days after casualty , I really don't think we need a Sunday show , but they did it after x factor did their Sunday results.

If I am to stay invested int he show this year I will have to keep myself from any media on Sunday - so that's my news feed and all sorts. It's a bit of a pain but to be honest sometimes I actualy go and look for the spoiler on twitter especially if we are out on Sunday!

I just think of Will Young, he never scored that badly with the judges or public but it really took it's toll on his mental health. For all of my mocking Matt's lack of time keeping and kerb appeal I do hope he doesn't struggle mental health wise.

I was sorry to see Kaye go. She wasnt the worst by a long way on Saturday, she did muck up the dance off though. Wish I'd voted for her, mind you she does appear more resilient than Matt. I'm surprised how wooden he is, thought he'd be a good dancer as was in a boy band. Must admit I did think he would be crushed if he was voted off though, possibly trying to boost his career - but then aren't they all?!
Would love to get the results on Saturday night but I guess this way the BBC gets two programmes for the price of one.

I was working this evening and I genuinely didn’t see anything on SM for spoilers . Got home at 8 and watched the recording 🤦‍♀️

I've just watched it on catchup, I expected more from Matt , he doesn't seem to want to be there.
