As the current thread is restricted only to discussing what is actually happening on the show, I thought I'd set up a spoiler thread where Instagram posts, Daily Mail articles etc are allowed to be discussed.

In no way is this meant to replace the main thread and discussions about the show. Just so that comments that are not allowed are able to be discussed.

I'm watching MAFS NZ season 1 (bingerama!) and looked something up, found out not only are they legally married but they have to pay for their own divorces....bet it's not like that here, sure it would put some of the wannabees off a bit.

NC for this. I used to work with Sophie, her “job title” is a load of bull. Her family live in an average house in Cheltenham and aren’t remotely posh at all apart from having the right accents. She’s attractive and gregarious and from what I know a nice girl, often put on the table of senior managers at events, but high flying career girl she is not.

Matt just did to Zoe what I’ve watched him do to Gemma many times.

He won’t let people finish a sentence. He goes on the defensive and wants to get his words out before he can be painted as a ‘bad guy’ etc.

Gemma is annoying, loud and has a vulgar mouth. But the more I watch of Matt, the more red flags I see in him. Do not like the guy at all.

I was walking past Newsagents yesterday and there they had loads of papers with articles about George on the front cover and I felt like I should probably shout at someone for putting spoilers out there.

Thomas is an enormous drama Queen, who just loves being the centre of attention. He just can’t help himself can he? 😳 I’m not really keen on any of them though, with the exception of Adrian who has the patience of a saint.

Oof so apparently 3 of George's ex's have come out saying he was abusive to them.

Or 3 anonymous people went to the tabloids with vague issues and no evidence.

So with the George abuse thing, one question I have - because of Operation Encompass, schools have to be informed of parents have been reported for DV. Surely if 3 women went to the police then children’s services would have had a referral through three times for the 4 heartbeats - would the show not know about this??

Adrian is lovely and reminds me slightly of a young Kenneth Branagh. I swing high and low on Thomas. He can be an absolute nightmare but there's something quite loveable about him when he has quiet moments of self-awareness.

May have been mentioned already but there is a good podcast called MAFS Hysteria which is worth a listen.

Just listened to an interview with Lara who was very informative.

She said Richie barely spoke to her off camera, they know when they are being filmed and people can act a completely different way once they start rolling. She says that Richie was in it to re release his music and think wanna be influencers etc should be paired together as not fair to genuine contestants.

She explains the whole row about sex they had. She seems absolutely lovely.

Just caught up. Duka seems not to care a jot about Whitney going off with Matt. Poor Gemma is coming across as even more unhinged, saying Matt has robbed her of the chance of a family. Right up until the end she thought they had something together? It was very clear that Matt had no interest in her after she started with the dirty jokes.
Thomas' raison d'etre is to bring all the attention onto himself at every given moment.

Gemma’s Insta appears to be suggesting that she’s got together with Bob from last year. Could be misleading of course.

Matts been on IG this morning saying he and Gemma had agreed to split up and part ways straight after the commitment ceremony.

Strangely I believe him. I think a lot of Gemma's behaviour is over dramatised and that she knew full well Matt and her weren't going anywhere but because she was so outraged/hurt about it (she seemed desperate for her to like him from the get go, even saying how she had feelings for him on the wedding day - how?) she went off on one (probably fuelled by alcohol) and was jealous. I believe that any hope she did have (if it existed at all) was all in her head and Matt had made it clear they weren't going anywhere. She was just fucked off and invalidated.

I never knew this. My ex was/is emotionally abusive and head of school directed me towards a DV service when my ex kicked off about something and called the police. Presumably therefore they have it on record about my ex?
