This thread is for those of us who couldn't help but binge the whole series in one sitting. 😁

Nah that's only because we normal adults tell them that ghosts aren't real so they stop seeing them.

I bet a kid raised to fully believe and speak to and interact with ghosts would see them for life.

I just noticed on Mike's pinboard guide to the Ghosts the newspaper clipping says Pat died on 27th October, but in the flashback scene to his death it looks like high summer! All the boys in shorts and the trees in full leaf.

Can't speak for the trees but DH wears shorts all year round, especially when in 'uniform' (aka rugby kit for him)

The pinboard has been there since series 2 at least. I remember the original director did twitter threads about each episode and it popped up on one of them.

If you click through the twitter feeds they all link up. They were so interesting I'm gutted the later directors havent done them. The film of Thomas having to hide off camera and get in the bath out of shot was pretty clever. And its funny to think that the crew often stand in for characters. I particularly like the ninja dressed lady hiding amongst the rubbish bags that fall out of the cupboard in the 'About last night' episode.

Its fascinating to think about how much cgi is used.

Not read the whole thread as I’ve still got episodes 5 and 6 to watch, but just wanted to stick my head in to say Episode 4 😫😭

I know! I'm still reeling! I rewatched the whole show from the start and was glad to see Mary was always envious of those who were sucked off, so it was something she always wanted. I still can't believe it though! It just won't be the same going forward.

I hope if Mike and Alison do have a baby it'll be a girl and her middle name will be Mary.

Did I imagine that at the end of the last series or in a Christmas special Mike started to see the ghosts?!? I’m starting to think I did.

All done now. I liked the series overall, I thought Alison and and Mike were very sweet together and clearly well suited.

DH loved Robin and the Bear. I liked Thomas this series and him and Pat being vegan was amusing.

Favourite ep was 3. Proper lols in our house especially the song and julians fingering fanny.

I quite liked ep 4 but dh thought Mary got sucked off too soon.

I do wonder where it will go. I think a baby is likely in the Xmas special but I thought it was interesting just how awful Alison looked throughout. Really run down and stressed. For me I wouldn't mind no series 5 and a cracking crimbo episode where they find a solution to live in the house like a family home (wiv a cute ickle baby obvs). Go out on a high.

He tried to see the ghosts and then bumped into someone that he thought was a ghost. Don't think he ever saw them?

He was desperate to see them and tried potions and incantations. He thought he'd seen Julian and got all excited but it turned out it was a guy getting changed for the life drawing class.

Just re watching this series (I know) and there’s one thing that winds me up. Just before the Mad Hatters party for the virals, Julian says the cabinet called the 1991 Iraq kerfuffle Operation Desert Storm. That’s was the American name. We British aren’t quite so dramatic, it was Operation Granby. Dunno why this bothers me so much 😂

for the girls, not the virals. Although this cold o caught off my granddaughter may make it relevant 😂

I wondered if the stuffed bear might turn out to be worth a fortune but I suspect it's not in good shape now!

Aww it was Mary’s penultimate episode on the tele today. 🥲

Finally got through them all, very amused by Robin and the bear!

I cried when Robin said ‘That one. It has a twinkle.’

He’s such a sweet character.

And I bloody loved the gamekeeper in ep 6. ‘I had to watch myself being eaten by badgers.’

Another 😢 at ep 4 but Mary's face was so happy when she moved on.

I'm going to go back and look but wasn't the dad of the birthday girls also the builder who abandoned the job early in the first season, Terry?

The captain was caught in an accident during action at the house, a training exercise gone wrong, I believe. Robin went to the city and accidentally brought the plague back to his village which killed them all. It was in a previous season, though I couldn't tell you which one!
