I do appreciate that people don't like even the mention that there are potential spoilers out there.

However, it seems fair to flag up that if you are looking at the Daily Mail you may see something you don't wish to see.

People can then make their own choice.

I personally don't like groups of posters using nicknames because I feel it alters the feel of the thread in that there are sub groups rather than a collective.

However, I wouldn't call people out for it because that's what they clearly enjoy and I do have the option of starting my own thread with 'no nicknames' in the title. I'd probably be on my own though so just carry on.

In the same way anyone else could do the same with regards to what spoilers are unacceptable on that thread. Put it in the title of a new thread.

Perhaps it is my fault for not putting it in the thread title. I was daft enough to think that the last thread title would be ok.

The new people were also alluded to before it aired.

Nothing wrong in that of course. But some just don’t want to have hints or spoilers and just want to watch it as it airs. Shame instead of using this thread they didn’t make a spoiler thread.

I would do a tv pace thread but last time I was called a flouncer, that I’d ruined everything by doing a separate thread and that I had gone rogue/queen bee. I can’t remember what was said exactly but it was along those lines. I won’t make that mistake twice.

Personally, I think it's ok to give people a heads-up about a spoiler so they can avoid it if they haven't seen it already. I'm not a fan of anything that suggests what could come up eg Jess said blah blah on her insta.

I don't think any main thread can cover all the requirements we all have.

The alternative is people set up threads with named, specific requirements.

Just as a warning - I deliberately avoided the Mail thanks to the heads up about the spoiler, and then got hit by it on Apple News instead, so if you have that app don’t scroll down any further than the Celebrities subject headline!

On another note, why is Gemma continuing with the crass comments when Matt has explicitly said he doesn't like it? Can she not help it? Like a sexual Tourettes? (I'm not being serious). FFS, she's tone deaf.

My DSis used to have a penchant for being overly crude when with a bunch of women and drunk. I'm no prude by a million miles, but it's just not funny: it's a cheap, unintelligent attempt at humour which very, very rarely lands. I like clever humour, and, it seems, so does Matt.

Am I the only one whos doesn't care for spoilers? I will often google ahead to see what's coming and to see whether or not I saw the signs or not. But then I read the ending of the books first too and then start from the beginning.
