Sex and the City fans - is anyone watching The Carrie Diaries

I am enjoying it but Carrie is a different Carrie to the Carrie from satc. Unselfish, calm and basically the dream teen. And she has a sister who never was never mentioned in satc.

No sjp. She would not fit the part. It's basically Carrie before satc. It's really good but Carrie is a bit too perfect. I am on season1 but I think they introduce young Samantha too later on

I am watching Ep1 at the moment. The soundtrack is great and makes a great young Carrie. Isn't there a bit of a continuity error though? In an episode of SATC Carrie mentions that her dad left when she was young but in this prequel her mum has recently died from cancer.

@augustablighted yes I think you are right. And there is no mention of a sister. Unless they kill her off which wouldn't be nice. I am loving it so far though!

I'm sure she mentions a sister at some point in the show or films. I might be making that up though

A bit off topic, but I really enjoyed Uncoupled recently. Same creator as SITC, but from a gay man's perspective. Neil Patrick Harris is the star. Netflix, I think.

I watched 3 episodes last night, they've certainly nailed Carrie's voiceovers. If she's 16 in 1984 then she was born in 1958 - I always thought that the character of Carrie was a similar age to SJP - ie born in 1965.

Loving all the old American stuff on itv, just about to finish OC, then I need to finally finish Hart of Dixie after waiting years for the 4th season! So is Carrie diaries worth it?
