Well that was a bit predictable wasn’t it.

It all seems so slow this year, everyone sits in their couples not really bothering with the others there’s no group banter or friendships. Agree with PP things seem tense with Gemma and Paige and Ekin and Gemma seem to have a frenemy situation going on.

Paige is massively getting on my tats now, the cutesy voice and head bop, hope a bombshell drops and Adams head turns, bring her back down to earth a bit.

Just caught up. Christ, it was snooze fest for most of it. So, so fucking done with seeing Tasha cry. Although I'm not a Luca fan he was completely right with saying what he felt. It's ALWAYS got to be about HER. ES was brilliant in the kitchen agreeing with Luca- she's such good value.

Can't be bothered with Davide and his 'You er a laigh-er' shtick. Hope we see hos indiscretions.

to PP, well at my sons school nearly everyone watches this programme, esp girls. I believe the producers should bear this in mind. And why I wish they’d dial down the lap dance/porny aspect. (though even for me it’s a bit much, Gemma lap dancing with a whip, some guy getting himself into a frenzy with pornonthrusts - jeezus it’s cringe-embarrassing) ! It would still be watchable without all that. I’m glad I didn’t see the previous episodes.

As PP said they’re all coupled up now, so a bit 🥱. So unless they have a big row about absolutely nothing, there’s literally nothing going on …. Paige, godluvher, she’s just man-mad, that’s my diagnosis!! The dancer woman is a people-pleaser extraordinaire, even though she’s clearly a talented dancer. And so on.

Against my better judgement (he pissed me off with his scathing comment about not going to Scotland to visit Jay), I still like Luca.

While I agree he is overbearing, if the roles were reversed here, I suspect we’d see some comments saying Luca was gaslighting Gemma by suggesting there’s nothing to worry about, then being flirty and then making snide comments about beanbag positioning.

He’s not perfect and his controlling nature makes me feel uncomfortable, but I do think that Gemma has handled this situation poorly.

Dami really needs to see a doctor about his gas issues.

Luca’s a bit gorgeous, I’m rather taken with him. A sort of cross between Michael Caine in ‘Alfie’ and Paul Newman in Whatever. Andrews somewhat easy on the eye too.

But very hard to tell anything much about their personalities - it’s mostly guesswork. As far as I can see they only talk about sex, their feelings for each other, what’s for breakfast, plus the odd joke maybe. Literally nothing else. But I guess that’s the formula that ‘works’.

They never used to have stretch out one nights entertainment into two or even 3 episodes.
There's more stuff going on and friendships in the unseen bit so I'm sure they don't have to stretch minimal content into 2 episodes.
As PP said it makes you not care when it finally continues after the cliff hanger.
As its never been on Sundays it should be 90 mins .and lots of content.
As it is its just Tasha and Andrew and 10 min of whatever..

Ian Stirling is painful. I was listening to a radio discussion about Ian Stirling and Laura Whitmore's podcast on gruesome crimes on a national radio station here in Ireland this week. Someone commented that Ian and Laura are ok on their own but when they work together they're like a 99 ice cream cone with a sausage and not a flake.

Completely agree. Iain used to be funny and worked well with Caroline Flack but since Laura joined they are both just cringe! I like them both on their own but not together. Time for a shape up. Can we have Rob Beckett and Maura Higgins instead please. That would inject some life into it.

Interesting story in the media from Jacques, saying he was asking to leave but producers kept convincing him to stay, could be damage control, but if it’s true that’s shocking treatment especially given they knew he had adhd and he says he told them he was mentally struggling. They knew Adam would provoke him and wanted to use that to bring the drama.

I found these comments from Tasha's Dad quite powerful and as per a PP had a bit of an epiphany. No, I don't like her narrative in the villa but it is a narrative created by the producers.

Im glad Tasha's dad has said that. I don't understand the Tash hate. She's a young girl, trying to figure out what she wants. In the outside world there is nothing wrong with dating different people at once, let alone getting to know them. Other contestants have done far worse.

I also understand why she gets so upset being in the bottom three. Despite being gorgeous she's probably been bullied and wants to be liked. Luca and the others were so unkind to her about it? It had nothing to do with being happy with Andrew.

This year is missing the friendships. There seems to be no tight relationships like other years. Maybe Luca and Jacques? but that seems to be it!

Yeh Love Island just wanted to jump on the bandwagon after Strictly and Rose.
I knew it wouldn't be anything like Strictly and raising awareness and what not. And Strictly is quite cheesy and positive..
But it's way worse than I imagined.
LI choosing not to air any conversations regarding Tasha perhaps struggling in groups or a quick explanation of how her cochlear works. It's been zero since a 20 mention on day 1.
LI used to have other conversations thrown in previously not just how you feeling and how was the date or the night time kissing. Boring.

It must be so hard to watch and hear negativity around your child. I feel for the parents of all of the candidates.
As much as I hated the way Jacques behaved in the villa I do feel sorry for him now and hope he will get some help and be ok. Going into Love Island is not something that you can take back. People are going to recognise him for a long time. Especially his own peer group. He will know they have seen him crying and they have seen him behaving really badly and there’s nothing they can do to change that now.

I think Tash is great and seems like a really sweet HUMAN BEING. I really struggle to see the pov of many posters in here. Those words her dad wrote are so emotional, bless them.
