What to watch on Disney plus?

SkygardenTower · 02/07/2022 15:32

Just got a Disney plus subscription for the summer and looking for suggestions.

I don’t watch a lot of TV but I enjoy TaskMaster, sewing bee and just finished The Wheel of Time. Also like gentle murder programmes.

I’m a teacher and I have agreed to watch all the Marvel movies as my students were aghast at my lack of knowledge, so they are already on my list.

On another thread, I asked for recommendations for shows as good as Succession and Breaking Bad and the consensus was that The Americans on Disney+ is as good as those shows. I haven't yet watched it though.

The Americans is bloody brilliant. Definitely on a par with those other two greats on your list. Didn't know it was on Disney+ though, may need to rewatch it...!!

The Americans is my all time favourite series. It’s definitely due a re-watch soon!

Itsalloutofwhack · 04/07/2022 19:19

Can’t believe I’m on page 3 and no one has mentioned Hamilton!

Comes up for me. I keep meaning to give it a go because people whose opinions I trust rave about it, but never quite find the right moment.

I was hooked from the first five minutes of the first episode, it's very easy to get into 😉

Ignore me, my profile settings were 14 and below, have changed to 18+now and found it 🙈

We did the same, only had a child's account set up initially 🤣

I piggyback on my friend's account, I went straight to her 15yr old's profile to use as I knew she'd have the kid settings turned off!

You should watch "Dug days" animated shorts of the dog from Up. So funny :)

Golden girls. So happy that’s on there. Ultimate comfort viewing.

Any updated ideas? Realised we have paid for a full year of this and none of us watch anything on it.

RedRiverShore3 · 05/03/2023 18:37

Revenge, I'm watching it now, it's really good, it is an older series though so you may have seen it

Big Sky

Candy - it's a true story. Jessica Biel is amazing in it.

The Patient - Steve Carell and Domhall Gleeson
