What happened to the love island thread

Just been on to catch up on what I'd missed and the thread has gone?! Anyone have any idea why?

Woooops .. to be fair I'd be pissed off too !

Ohhh first look looks like things are finally spicing up! Kinda liking ekin su now didn’t at first but she is making it interesting! Not getting pp comparing her to molly mae? She didn’t jump from different guys did she? Did you mean someone else (Maura)?

Ekin-Su is taking a markedly different approach to everyone else in the villa.

The general way is to expect the other person to make the running, and to wait until they've shown they're in to you. And as they're all doing it, it's pretty glacial and it doesn't look much fun (and is really dull to watch)

Ekin-Su however is being flirty and complimentary, an the contrast is marked. She's attracting various of the boys because she's fun and a bit naughty and she leaves them feeling good. Which means she is going to have many admirers and therefore in LI terms, maximum chance of always being picked by someone. If not the unreal world of LI, it means she would have several irons in the fire and would be in a position to choose. It all looks much more like old-fashioned dating than anything any of the others are doing. And I think she's finding out more about what makes the boys tick than is coming through in any of the more stilted chats.

I don't think Paige is going to thrive, unfortunately. They all like her (so her place in the villa is reasonably secure in the early weeks) but no-one fancies her. So unless someone comes in who does, she needs a bestie so they can become the firm friendship couple.

I find Ekin-Su to be so self aware.
Sometimes she talks to people like she's their teacher, sometimes their mother, sometimes a suductress. It's like the actress in her is constantly playing all these different roles.
I think she's nice enough, but something about her is off.

Ugh, the way Luca kept pulling Gemma back in to him in First Look was yuck and actually came across pretty aggressive.

ES is growing on me. She still has a bit of an air of desperation about her though. It’s like she has to get in their first with every new guy that comes in. But I like her interactions with all the girls. She’s not bitchy like it seemed she was going to be.

Luca is an arse. He very publicly cheated on his ex with an instagrammer. He views Gemma as a 'prize'.

I was thinking possibly Megan Barton. Every guy was her type

I haven't seen the first look but already getting the ick by how handsy Luca is with Gemma. She's clearly not into it. They've known eachother days and been a couple a lot less time than some of the others and he's acting like they've been dating months. I actually would hate that no matter how long I'd been with someone.

Can't make my mind up on ES. I think she's actually harmless and she's very entertaining so I'll give her that. I just admit she does look waayyy older than the rest of them. I thought she was mid 30's. Not 27.

That first look at Luca slamming Gemma against his chest repeatedly was not OK.

If that was my daughter I wouldn't want him anywhere near her.

Apparently one of the new chaps is likely to spill who her Dad is.

I'm guessing production is doing it as a duty of care so Luca winds his neck in.

What the hell was that that Luca was doing to Gemma?! He is a prick, I feel like he might have a really nasty side.

ES is a natural for reality TV.

She's already ticked off a terrible reality programme set in the glamour which was Lancaster University.

She's got this nailed I tell you.

Plays into all the boys insecurities and compliments the hell out them. She's a pro.

Like most successful reality stars you wouldn't want to be her friend in real life but she's good television

Molly-mae was definitely the ‘he’s my type’ about every guy one. Megan was the ‘I really fancyyyy him’ one 😅

I always feel like anyone on love island 27+ seems to look way older even if they are only a year or two older than the others :s

I don’t remember Molly-Mae liking anyone other than Tommy either! I think early doors she might have shown a little bit of interest in Anton but it was short lived.

She did settle with Tommy quite quickly it was just the initial few days if I remember, every boy and every new boy was ‘her type’

Gemma just doesn't fit the show.
Young if they must there is always a 19 or 20 Yr old which I don't agree with.
But normally those ones really throw themselves into the game and have personality and annoying immature with it.
Taking the place of someone that wants to be there.

Maybe Georgia is who others are thinking of?

Agree Luca was a dick in first look.

Feels far too early for the Hideaway. None of the couples seem to like each other much.
