What happened to the love island thread

Just been on to catch up on what I'd missed and the thread has gone?! Anyone have any idea why?

It's the Gemma Owen show at the moment though isn't it? I've noticed the ratio of black faces increase all over the media...it's an obvious attempt to put things 'right' but complaining that the black girls always get left on the shelf on love island isn't going to change anything that happened in the past! It's early days..it's about the drama in the villa, that's why we're watching..but we don't have to do that do we?

Eggy sue is fake in every way. Before she went in she had fillers, new teeth and tits. She is coming across a complete bitch to the girls and is far too full on for the boys. Not sure Davide is that keen on her either. Now Gemma has talked to Luca, ( who i think she is more suited to), I think he will want to try harder with her.
Eggy sue is just bleurgh. Not naturally great looking without make up either.

I don’t see the attraction with ekin Su either sorry, Gemma is much prettier and even Davide said she is more his type, and I don’t like the way she is coming across either she’s very full on 🤦🏻

Agree about Eggy being too try-hard which after the first favourable impression-looks wise doesn't seem to be working out too well for her.

Gemma/Luca are a far better match yes, I quite like the way he waited a bit and considered things before shooting his shot too, rather than rushing in there like the others

I quite like the idea of a Luca / Gemma couple. But who would Paige be with and I like her enough to not want her to be dumped from the island

I think Ekin Su is in danger of falling flat after going in playing such a man eater role. Davide seemed more into Gemma but Gemma seemed much more natural with Luca, who I defo think has worked out who her dad is with some of his comments during their chat!

Feel sorry for Paige she’s so sweet and it just getting led on by Luca. Really like Afia too she’s nice and chilled. I think Gemma looks like Georgia May Foote who was on Corrie and strictly a few years ago. Looking forward to tonight’s it’s heating up!

ES is definitely coming across trying a bit too hard with her pick me role. The conversation with Luca and Gemma was odd when he was asking if he would get to spend time with her Dad!? That should have her running for the hills! I can't stand Liam but everyone else seems okish so far.

I agree with this. I think she looks older than 27 too. I do think young women who have had a lot of work done often look older. Gemma is much prettier.

I seen Amy Hart on tiktok yesterday saying the big nights (recoupling dumping etc.) Can go on till around 4 or 5am and they were allowed to sleep in then the next morning

How the hell does it take that long to recouple??? Like 5am in the summer it must be getting light which would ruin the effect too

I haven't seen last night's episode yet so am slightly behind, but I totally agree with WigglyWombat's earlier post. For unfathomnable reasons, the viewers were not shown the chats between Davide and Indiyah and Amber. There is absolutely no way he wouldn't have talked to them all.

Also the "top 3" talk is horrible and disrespectful and makes me cringe. But I am certain they will have been instructed to make "top 3" a big thing by the producers and editors.

Already you can see the terrible fakery and agenda-making in the editing.

It definitely felt to me that the members of cast who are black or mixed race have been side lined. I think all the attention is going to work against Gemma though because she can’t live up to the hype.

Ekin-sue really reminds me of Carolina from MAFS Aus season 9. That might not mean much to a lot of you 😂But she's playing the same role too - I. E. Massive bitch. She's an actress and has been cast to do this and create some drama.

I also think that Gemma and Luca have far more chemistry than Gemma and Davide and Luca and Paige. But I don’t like the way that Luca seems to be stringing Paige along. In every conversation he has with her he reassures her that he fancies her the most but then he goes and has all these other chats with Tash and now Gemma. It must be a real head fuck for Paige, and bless her you can tell she’s trying to be cool with it.
