I loved this ! Smiled and laughed all the way through.

OP posts:

I watched ep3 with Craig Revel Horwood and partner (who seemed so lovely and not at all into the showbiz side of things). Really good episode , Rosie now presenting as though she’s been doing this for years, very confident and natural. The ‘keep me anonymous’ presenters have all been spot on too. I still think it’s a good show, I’m just not quite into the Monday night viewing. I happened to just switch on at the right time last night, realised it was on so I watched in real time, but I think it’s a show I’d only pick up off the iPlayer for more of a weekend feeling.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 31/05/2022 18:55

The anonymous reader last week who was gagging was just so funny.

autienotnaughty · 01/06/2022 05:43

Yeah I'd say it would be better as a weekend show. Maybe if they get high enough viewings.

ValerieCupcake · 01/06/2022 09:07

Why does it matter what day of the week something is on? I never watch anything in real time anyway. I watched this on a Sunday morning.

NowThatsWhatICall22 · 01/06/2022 14:00

Yes, it doesn’t matter- I do wonder how many viewers would even watch on a Monday night in real time.

I tend to listen to the podcast on Friday when the new episode comes out.

LisaSimpson1984 · 01/06/2022 17:05

Enjoyed episode 3 I must admit. A good few
laugh out loud moments.

dustandroses · 01/06/2022 17:31

Oh it made me cringe. What is wrong with Chris on this programme he is so forced? It’s currently only as good as it’s guests and needs refining, get rid of the gimmicks like Barry, but the what’s your beef and audience interaction is good.

Rosie has raised their profile but the singing, just stop, especially with her family. I reckon if Chris calms himself down and they got rid of the slapstick and Rosie singing they could be good.

LisaSimpson1984 · 01/06/2022 17:53

Yeah Chris’ overacting is 😬😬😬

like just relax.

balalake · 01/06/2022 19:59

Not for me, just did not enjoy it. Though if other people do, good.

autienotnaughty · 01/06/2022 21:24

I think Chris is a bit like that when ever he's presenting. He's definitely more natural as a comedian. Did anyone see him in hebburn? I loved it but his acting was not a highlight.

autienotnaughty · 07/06/2022 04:00

Didn't really rate Martine this week. Felt really annoyed on Rosie's behalf when chris made fun of her 'chins' although I'm guessing she could have asked for it to be cut out it it really upset her.

Was wondering today if they are getting equal pay?

SlumMumBum · 08/06/2022 21:56

This is so cringey to watch. Martine's clumsy jokes about OCD, the obsession with drinking (Jack has a drinking problem), Chris leaping from the sofa every five minutes...

Hmm
Funkyslippers · 09/06/2022 14:41

I thought Martine seemed a bit of a handful, for want of a better word. Her husband seems lovely. I did like it when it was his turn on "what's your beef?" and she said to him "you've perked up"!!

Funkyslippers · 09/06/2022 14:43

SlumMumBum how do you know he has a drinking problem?

Canthequeengiveusthursdaysandfridaysoffplease · 09/06/2022 21:53

I think she did really well although he seemed less at ease in front of the camera. I agree it is nice to see someone new on TV and I hope they are given time to fine tune the show and their presenting skills.

Who are the utter grot bags on this show though 🤢🤢🤢

The bit in this weeks episode with the earwax was fucking grim

YouCouldBeAnAirHostessInThe60s · 10/06/2022 00:35

it really was.

i honestly judge her a little bit too. Who wouldn’t just throw that away??

As utterly grim as it is, I can ALMOST understand the logic behind using the cuticle tool to release the ear wax. But what I can't understand is why the hell he would keep the left over ear wax. That's just disgusting.

And as you say, why the hell didn't she just throw it out?

Besides, all he'll do is go and buy a new set and start again (bleugh)

My issue now we're near the end of the series is that it seems to be a bit of a race to the bottom to get to the most disgusting things possible. Compare that to the lady with the Boyzone merchandise in the first episode....

Exactly

And the same goes for that guy who used his gf's toe to pick his nose 🤢

AllTheMonacles · 10/06/2022 10:16

The title sequence made me switch off, it was awful.
I've seen Chris Ramsey live and found him really funny I've never heard the podcast though so maybe I'd need to listen to that to 'get it'.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 10/06/2022 21:25

I love that Rosie seems to troll Chris throughout the shows. He is very funny, but she is funnier.

I liked the Martine/Jack and Chris/Rosie dynamic.

autienotnaughty · 14/06/2022 04:13

I thought last nights episode was the best yet. They all bounced off each other well.

I think it's great that they got a couple who are known for being respectable and clean cut to open up and be a bit naughty.

I think the show has been great, needs a few tweaks here and there but generally it's fab for a first run.

Abraxan · 14/06/2022 09:08

I really enjoy it but can see why others, especially if not already a podcast listener, might not. It's very much a visual version of their very successful podcast.

It's just fun and a bit silly, and makes a change from a lot of other TV.
