Are all the clay court tournaments a week early this year? Rome is usually mid May and I think RG is a week earlier than it usually is

The tournaments must be the same dates as last year, because Carlos' birthday was this week, as it was last year.
Rome is definitely the same dates as last year (I had my second covid jab when Rome was on- and that was on the 14th May- funny how these things stick in your mind!)
RG is the same. Rafa's birthday always falls at the latter end of the tournament.

Last year's RG was a week later, iirc. Due to Covid, I think . So Rafa's birthday was in the middle

The one thing I do know, is that this year, Rome and RG are not being played in September/October

The Rafa/Diego match was so gloomy. It's no wonder he lost!

And I will never forget the first match at RG in 2020- with Azarenka (all bundled up in a winter jacket) having a strop about the weather.

I remember that Raahh - she came out dressed for an arctic expedition and then stomped off saying that she lived in Florida

It’s Stan and Early Man (Opelka) on at 10am and Foggy and Thiem later on at about 6pm - will be interesting to see how Stan and Dom do

Everyone is working from home today and it’s my day off - wish they would all go back to the office and leave me to watch tennis in peace

There is also an important footy match tonight (apparently) so tension levels are quite high

Dh has loads of meetings today, and ds is doing the college side of his apprenticeship all week from home. DD2 started her SATs today- and was complaining bitterly that I have hogged the tv watching tennis. I had to break it to her that there are weeks of it to go yet (til a time difference when I can't watch as much)

I saw last night that Karatsev will be Djok's first opponent- now, last year he had a good year, and beat him in Belgrade, but things aren't going so well this year. An upset would be nice though.
