Usually chefs table has lots of chefs from different restaurants who always seem to be good friends with each other. Am I reading too much into it that the only ones who agreed to come to the Ramsey table were people who he probably has Polaroid pictures of slumped over the pass a bit passed out?

“Ok, here’s the contents of these cupboards, tonight’s yellow stickered haul, half a cup of milk, (because dc3 has had 4 bowls of cereal), and two slices of white play-doh bread. And you forgot that you agreed to fussy child from hell coming for tea. Off you pop.”

Just caught up - totally agree with needing to get rid of the pointless sections after the sending home.

Would do like when they get to this stage ask for a classic and contestants have to say what they will make. Then get someone else that really would know that dish - a Scottish chef/critic, Indian, Chinese/Hong Kong and maybe dessert chef. Might not make a difference but would be interesting for times when Gregg/John don’t know what the classic should taste like.

I’ve just watched the second half, and I have to say it’s not changed my view of Gordon Ramsey. He’s a git.
Constantly barking at these contestants is hardly going to help their stress levels. For one thing, they’re talented but amateur chefs. Asking them to cook to 3-star Michelin standards (and to an artificially accelerated time schedule - let’s face it, this was not a normal service, everyone there was invited) is hardly realistic. He comes across as a bully.
I do suspect though that this is his TV persona, and he may well be very different in real life. However, this has been his TV shtick for many years now. Personally I think it’s a bit old hat.
I also didn’t really like how Matt Abe was presented as some kind of side kick. This is the man who actually runs the 3-star kitchen (as Clare did before him). He deserves some serious credit.
Clare and Paul were infinitely more likeable.

This series has really bored me.. I wouldn't say it was worth it @sunbird24
