I don't like proper hunted venison because Game doesn't please me, but I don't mind it if it has been farmed.

That said, my friend's Dad roasted us a a piece of deer he'd hunted in Norway, and that was lovely.

Caramel powder? Get to fuck, they can sprinkle sugar on and caramelise that!

We like venison chez Halsall. DH makes a nice spiced venison casserole, but we only ever buy it when it’s in the reduced section 😂

I would rather they were hunted. Once went to some farm day thing then we looked in a shed

it was full of live deer. Was sad looking and I still remember it ☹️

I did a G Ramsey saddle of venison. Sear in butter, wrap in the butter wrapper, roast, clear pan with red wine, add the juices and dark chocolate. God it was good.

I live near a deer park and sadly they have to be culled as no natural predators. They live a full life and then thankfully the meat is not wasted.
