Yes Raahh Dan has a lot of points to defend, both in singles and doubles. In the live rankings he's dropped into the 30s in singles and to about 140 in the doubles, according to DS anyway! I think he got to the semis in singles and were he and Neal runners up? I'm not sure Dan is going to be seeded for the French, given how well he did in the clay court season last year.

kazza he must have few points to defend. Yy, he was runner up in the doubles in MC- that was a really good run.
If he can win his next match, he will be about 31 in the live singles ranking- but a lot will depend on how far he gets this week (he lost to Stef in the semi? last year) and Madrid in particular.

He might get lucky with the seeding- given how many players keep getting injured/dropping out, so that could move him up a bit.

Potentially good match first up tomorrow- Seb Korda v Carlos Alcaraz. I'm surprised it's scheduled early, to be honest.
The hoped for match of Carlos v Djok won't happen here- but I no longer care. So long as someone beat Djok. .

Our Fabio is not happy. I guess Apostolos was at it again. It needs sorting.

Seb has started well against Carlos.

I really wanted to see Carlos play Djok (and beat him) now that Djok is out, I am happy for either of these 2 to do well.

But Carlos is my 'Rafa substitute' this week. .

Jane it was a very one sided match, from what I saw of it. I not sure what Stef was needing coaching on.

Apostolos really can't help himself, can he- but it's Stef who will suffer, by getting in bother on court.

The match turned a bit- but Korda is level again. I was hoping this would be a good match.

It's a nightmare Jane - and all to do with staffing and covid. Manchester did a big recruitment drive, about 2/3 weeks ago. Bit late for the height of the season, really, and (having worked there a long time ago) I don't envy anyone starting there now.

Carlos has bounced back in this second set.

Jane I've been out this morning early, dh is actually in the office today, so DD2 and I are enjoying having the house back.

I'd love to go to Monte Carlo. The outside court Pedro & Hubi are on seems to be up against a castle on one side with the sea on the other.

It really is a beautiful venue.

I too would love to go to the tennis at MC - the commentators yesterday were saying that it’s relatively cheap to get there but then they started talking about helicopters
