Anyone watching? I know it's never been quite the same since James Norton left but it's nice easy Friday night viewing. And Will got a bit raunchy tonight!

@PrincessScarlett

I thought Geordie had some sort of dalliance with a work colleague and his wife found out and kicked him out 🤷🏻‍♀️
That was a few seasons back. He seemed to sort himself out but then fell apart and started drinking and being vile.
PrincessScarlett · 26/03/2022 08:04

Ah ok, thanks @ImJustMadAboutSaffron

FromOurHatsToOurFeet · 26/03/2022 08:23

They've all turned into twats, haven't they. I'd watch it for Leonard and Mrs C though, those scenes this week were lovely. The new vicar - I can't even remember his name - but the whole engaged to someone else thing has been done already, hasn't it with James Norton. He doesn't even get his own storyline! And did you notice Geordie doing the post mortem this week? No sign of a pathologist!

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 27/03/2022 21:39

I was amazed to see Will actually doing some vicaring on Friday!

diddl · 28/03/2022 08:07

The scenes with Leonard & Mrs C were good, but I hate Leonard not being curate.

I didn't really like the blackmail & prison story line & can't help feeling that the locals wouldn't be so accepting.

Don't like Daniel so that doesn't really help!

ChoccyJules · 30/03/2022 16:24

Cool how Leonard got to do a bit of sleuthing but agree it was hilarious they had the murder victim laid out in a room opposite Geordie’s office, for some time apparently.

And could they lay the Bonnie/Will ooh maybe thing on any thicker?!

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 01/04/2022 21:49

It's 1959. Why are they playing a song from 1965?

ChoccyJules · 09/04/2022 23:37

Just caught up with last night’s episode. Glad Will got what was coming to him, been a bit of a tart!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 12/04/2022 10:24

Best moment of the series, Bonnie calling him out on being an entitled arsehole!

Hate Maya and that whole relationship was utterly improbable.

Cathy kicked Geordie out when he nearly hit her last series.

Twospaniels · 17/04/2022 15:56

Ah so now Will and Bonnie are married - how sweet!

Geordie is back home with his family

Leonard and Daniel are an accepted couple

Mrs C had her ‘wireless’ therapy and appears to be better

Was this the last ever Grantchester? seems like all the ends are thoroughly tied together now.

Clawdy · 17/04/2022 19:45

I did love that happy ending. Yes, I wondered if it meant it was the final one.

Just finished the last one. I too was wondering if it is coming back.

Haveatakeaway · 24/04/2022 09:01

I doubt it was accidental @Roystonv Melissa John's the actress has been in other things (bbcs life, corrie for example) and has never had to hide her arm for a role, and if she did, she wouldnt take the role. Her disability charity has just won a bafta 😊so I expect it was written into the script.

Princessintherosecastle · 21/07/2023 14:47

Hi,

is it worth watching from series 4 onwards? I’ve watched up to James Norton leaving and don’t know whether to continue?? 🤔. I love Leonard but don’t want to waste time is it goes downhill?

Ilovealido · 21/07/2023 15:37

I really have very little memory of the episodes after James Norton left @Princessintherosecastle. I did carry on watching for a bit but it wasn’t the same for me. I didn’t mind the new actor playing the vicar but I feel like it had lost its sparkle.
