As far as I can recall, Lucy wasn’t in the car and Kate breaks into Jenny’s house and deletes all of the copies of the voicemail from phones and computers so only Jake will be in trouble for Alex’s death. There was a reason why she knew passwords like she’d done something for them in an emergency when they were away and Jenny had told her where to find a list of all passwords.

Doing the original ending in the book might have been better by the sounds of it!
I guess they just say ' based on the book ' then change it all anyway !
I liked ' trust me' by the same author . I had to look it up , but it wasn't that bad , he has written a few books.

Trust Me is his best one. I think I’ve read all of TM Logan’s books.

So adding lucy to the car meant that whole plot changes as she was there at the murder

I knew Lucy and Jake were the ones to watch. All the bloody parents so involved in their own lives, don't have a clue about what their own kids are up to!

Really hating Jenny. She's coming across as a lying, cheating bitch tbh. Feel very sorry for her husband Alastair, even though the way he's approaching Lucy is all wrong and as a college lecturer (or whatever role he has in education), he really should know better than to touch the girl in any way 🤨

Oh and was it Jenny who pushed Izzy over the cliff and Odette witnessed the whole thing? Or did I get that wrong?

I watched to the end but it's like there's a formula now of the majority of episodes being red herring/false flag stuff to keep you guessing, and then a completely un-guessable finale which just leaves you feeling a bit "meh".
