@bubblicious3 I was also on The Chase a few years ago, I also won, apparently one of the highest ever amounts at that time. How much was your win and how many of you made it to the final?

My goal was just to make the final chase, so I was over the moon to actually win, in fact I was convinced we wouldn't win but we had several successful pushbacks. Really nerve wracking edge of the seat stuff.

It's a huge buzz but also so hard not to tell anyone, I had to wait 10 months for my episode to be aired.

We watch every day here and am wracking my brains-am guessing you don't want to say who you are but do remember the Beast being beaten quite convincingly last week-think by a team of 4?

I could never face my DC again if I took the low.

How long did it take you to apply/go on? Any tips?

Hmm 🤔 😉 I auditioned back in 2018, then forgot all about it! Really wasn't expecting to be contacted so far down the line

Amazing well done! I don't want to say how much as I don't really want to be identified. No one went high but it was a decent amount. Had to wait 3 months to be paid tho!

Great to hear from a fellow contestant - I was on in early December but unfortunately didn't win. We got Paul Sinha and there was only two of us in the final. However, it was a very interesting experience.

Interesting. Not what I said. They were very rigid about what we could say. I wanted to go on a luxury holiday, but they didn't want travel mentioned due to Covid. It ended up going on some home improvements. Bit boring, but we needed it!

Lol, we as a family never believe the far fetched stuff the contestants claim they will do with their money 😄
Last week, my DC came in halfway through and I asked her to guess what the first bloke said?
Straight away she suggested " Diving with Great white sharks or such like?" and was amazed she was right! 😂

No, it's normal. Mine was filmed pre Covid & we still didn't meet any other contestants or chasers. We met each other briefly, had some lunch & a practice then got squirrelled away into our own individual green room until we were ready to start filming.

We were told not to have a strategy as it's distracting. Re clothes we were told bright colours but not small patterns. We had to do our own Mike packs - mine was in my pants

Ah that was going to be my question! If you win a big amount it must be hard to explain if you are not allowed to talk about anything for 10 months!
I guess you could say you won it on a scratch card or something?

This is a family favourite programme, we often say we’d like to have a go altogether! Bought dd1 the board game for Christmas last year, it was such a hit
Why does it take so long for you to get the payment through? It’s not exactly like it’s hundreds of thousands of pounds (okay I’ve seen that maybe twice for the celebrity ones but it’s not a regular thing at least).
I’m glad Bradley was nice, I’d have been gutted if he came across like a twat. He genuinely seems to love the programme.

Who decides what order you go in? I guess the production team?

I would also love to know who chooses the order. I would like to go last as I would probably go high BUT only if the rest of the team had pulled their weight first.

If I went high from an earlier position and the others kept taking the minus, I would absolutely do what a previous poster said and 'Pass' or stay silent on every question in the Final Chase.

I love Paul Sinha, he is always so respectful of the contestants.
