Sounds like it was a really good match - from what I saw Carlos is a really good player already (and Rafa likes him). Not sure I’ll make it for the final tonight - was Rafa’s shoulder injured?

I've read a match report saying the match was more than 3 hours long, including a 20 minutes game!! Seeing a few of the points on SM this morning, I can see why.

Since I was awake anyway at the end- I wish i had been able to actually watch. I'm not sure I will manage the final either.

Rafa is definitely going to be glad he made the decision to skip Miami- he must need the rest. I would rather he was fit enough for the clay season (where I won't be happy to see Djok back).

I haven’t seen any of Indian Wells - it’s on too late at night for me. I usually go to bed early anyway and the last couple of weeks have been particularly busy at work so haven’t had the energy to stay up late. Tonight is no different but will be rooting for Rafa in my sleep!

Chessie The timing of the matches is annoying- I start off with good intentions - but I know I will probably fall asleep about 9.

Vamos Rafa- they have only met once before, and that was a couple of years ago in Acapulco (Rafa won).
A lot will depend on how fit Rafa is- or if this is a match too far.
(I'd rather he lost, than pushed any injury too much it affected the rest of the season, really).

I can't watch the women because there's more football

Fizzy Rafa had the trainer out for his shoulder but he didn't seem to do anything for it! Hope it's ok today.
