Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Lots of shooting. At least we can work out here who the baddies are.

Here he comes, drainpipes, walls, ropes from helicopters.... all in a day's work for our Elvis.

So here comes Elvis ready to slide down that rope and rescue Georgie.

The protective hand as they are winched back into the helicopter.

Georgie realises who her rescuer is and thanks him with a smack across his face!

The magic scrubs trousers stay up as she is airlifted and the protective hand comes around. Then suddenly back in the helicopter and she sees him for the first time and wallop...with teeth gritted. Wonder what he thinks at that moment. Hmmm.... this isn't going to be as easy as I thought

Yes, back on the 16th to enjoy the R&R that was needed after only 3 days in Kenya. Yep, nothing like our Georgie Lane to de-rail a mission.

Georgie is the reason that, every time over the past couple of years, the army had been called upon, I have thought ‘O dear God, no!’

As I have said, eejit by name and rehire by nature. Turns out that it wasn’t Wed this week that I had Another Appointment but another night. Ho! Hum! See you next week all the same?

I watched the two Nigeria tour episodes at the weekend and , though there’s something missing, they are not that bad. I reckon it is once they hit the broccoli that it really lost its way. Must be something about sand and hot dry conditions.

Are we doing any more OG episodes after this series or are we moving on to something else? I might need to peruse eBay for a DVD if we're doing something like Last Tango in Halifax or whatever else we choose.
