Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Georgie and Kiki swap romantic stories. Poor Kiki, she really didn't have any luck at all on so many levels.

I love this scene too where Elvis is like a monkey climbing that tree.

CJ sounds like a cross headmaster when he asks Evlis where he is an he ignores him.

Georgie tries to get Zaki on side. Good tactic.

For all it’s Our Girl, it’s also about a man’s love/ devotion.

Elvis finally gets near enough to see that Georgie is there.

"You fit?" "It's been said Spunk". Oh the arrogance of the man!

Well, you gave them food, so why are you so precious about water?

"You fit" - Mr arrogant gives a snappy retort.

Those dog tags. We said they were in a stupid place .

I love that reply to Spunk.

Now the badly hidden dog tags are found. Inevitable.

Oh dear, Zaki has discovered the dog tags and runs off to tell Abu.

Now Zaki is instructed to kill Georgie, but shoots Kiki instead.

Urgent twirly finger there....he is a man on a mission. This is desperate stuff. Poor Kiki. What a miserable end.

Elvis and the boys are in the helicopter ready to rescue Georgie.

Meanwhile, Kiki dies a slow and painful death.

CJ sounds a bit panicked as he has to go ahead without the air back-up. Always notice those plastic bags in the fence.
