Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Love the line about her vision being ok!

eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:03

She really is so ungrateful.

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:03

I've often wondered how the doctor must have felt being told her job.

Ah, here's the delicious CJ. Who wouldn't want him as a visitor by your bedside?

Here comes Charlie...he's got history with bedside scenes. Bet he's relieved he hasn't lost another soldier.

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:04

Yes, Charlie, bet you cry buckets....ahhh!

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:05

Of course, CJ knows how it is to recover from a serious injury. Still wonder if he really would have been fit enough to return to active duty.

Trust Elvis turning up, persistent as ever.

eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:06

CJ read her right. She didn’t tell the psych anything.

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:06

I wouldn't have sent Elvis away! And he did come to make sure she was ok. I know it must have been a shock to discover he was her rescuer but at the end of the day, he did save her life.

So, as we know, the tour is over in a week and they all need R&R. Nice welcome from the lads. That place looks like an office block.

eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:07

CJ must feel really piggy in the middle, unable to tellGeorgie the truth.

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:07

"Eye patch pirates". :)

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:07

Why are pirates called pirates? Because they arrrrrrrghhhh! Yep the old repeated ones are the best.

Magi84 · 16/02/2022 21:07

Later CJ seemed to forget all that aboutvunloadingvto a psychiatrist

eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:08

Like the line about eye-patch pirates.

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:09

Yes, eejit when it was first shown we didn't realise just how much Charlie must have known. Of course, the more I thought about it, the more I realised what an idiot Elvis was not to just come clean and tell her the truth right at the beginning when 'it' happened.

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:10

I know I say it every time, but I can't tell those two officers apart. I have to study their pips to work out who is the major and who is a captain.

They think Georgie is having flights of fancy.

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:10

Why don't they just hypnotise her and get her to regress....Grin

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:11

Georgie is shown photos of various suspects and she recognises Abu/Jason.

OP posts:
eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:11

Rhu! Grin

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:12

Abu is unveiled as Jason...good old Georgie comes up trumps.

Oh dear, here's Dr Dull. He doesn't look all that anxious really. This is like a lock down GP consultation!

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:12

Those boys...you won't want to buy one of them a pint, trust me Dr Dull!

Ilovelblue · 16/02/2022 21:13

I'd be perfectly happy to have Elvis in the next room to me in a hotel!

OP posts:
Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:13

It is very annoying, stalker like behaviour when you think about it.

eejittwo · 16/02/2022 21:13

Rhu!GrinGrin
He couldn’t panic if he tried.
Yep! Elvis knows what he is doing.

Rhubarb01 · 16/02/2022 21:14

Still she checks to see if he's telling the truth about the vein. 50 SAUSAGE CHALLENGE!!!!!
