Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

All a bit tense now with Elvis turning up. Good job Georgie twigs invisible Saira Abu is after.

Georgie realises that it's Saira's big day that is under threat.

Lulu’s line is … epic!

The pennny drops.

Georgie does a quick change out of the wedding dress and hares off with Elvis to the graduation ceremony. She even forgets to take the tiara off.

Lulu didn't get much dialogue but that one word Epic was just right

Look where her priorities lie! Not with Jamie.

Don't tangle with a trained killer, Max. Brilliant Lulu!

I almost feel sorry for Max

Max has the dubious honour of telling Jamie the wedding is off.

Off they go to save the day. Meanwhile, Max finds Jamie still standing at the altar. Gotta feel a little bit sorry. But I'm sure Dr Judy Volauvent is lurking in the back pew, waiting for her opportunity.

Not looking too conspicuous in your body armour there.

Jason sees Georgie and knows the game is up.

Tense stuff. Elvis and Georgie at the uni band now need to help Saira. Another time when Elvis protects Georgie and this time takes a bullet

Fourth time….

Here come the boys to save the day. So, Elvis is about to take a bullet for her, and save her yet again.

Abu shoots Elvis. Will he live to tell another day?

Well, he finally gets her to himself and stops the wedding.

I was convinced by the music that Something Awful Had Happened.

All's well in World. Now I can't understand why when the next series starred seems wasn't loggerheads with Elvis again

Ahh, that is sweet.

Somehow, it wasn’t as upsetting as when Something really did happen.

Always struck me as totally wrong start to the next series. Did she never see him after leaving him at the hospital. That seems unlikely.

Agreed eejit but I guess for me personally I wasn't quite as invested in Elvis at this point as I was when he was shot dead. I was traumatised by that, as we all were.

Wow a very understanding Max and Grace. Considering how desperate she was for the wedding Grace changed her tune

I think Elvis and Georgie would probably have had a stormy marriage, if they had ever managed to make it up the aisle.

So, suddenly Mum is understanding after wanting nothing more than to push her up the aisle and tell her what she needed. Bit of a turnaround.

Don't give the honeymoon that never was a second thought. Go off to the refugee camp in Kenya instead.
