Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Georgie's parting shot is to tell Elvis to get rid of Abu!

I forgot about this scene - the pre-wedding dinner. How convenient that Two Section are in the same bar/restaurant.

This next speech of Max's makes me cringe. I usually fast forward over it.

Elvis does understand her so well.

Oh dear, here comes the second big cringey moment when Dad stands up to do his proud speech.

That's lovely Dad, but I hope Mum isn't put out.

Nan is great!

I love Nan's dry wit! Mind you, we might all be crying over big gas bills before long.

This newsreader is our normal newsreader on the BBC local news.

Well, Nan will be crying in April, that's for sure!

Ah, where her misgivings nearly surface. Would he have shunned up the drainpipe if she’d sent the text?

Elvis is texting her the night before the wedding at the same time as Jamie. Hmmm, that's a difficult one.

Still he messages. Still she feels as if she should reply but has to stop herself from adding the kisses.

What does Jamie get....no reply.

And Max completely misunderstands

First time I saw this, I thought it was real, or assumed it would be Elvis. So scary.

It's the morning of the wedding. I think Nan is getting sloshed already.

Jamie's best man looks a bit greasy.

So Jason is on the move, where is he going. CJ in his best bib and tucker to attend yet another of Georgie's weddings.

All turning unfor the wedding CJ back in dress uniform. Marie and Lulu look good. Not so keen on this wedding dress though

One of the best lines

Marie and Lulu ae the bridesmaids. Lovely blue dresses.

I do like this next scene - such a brilliant one liner from Georgie as Elvis appears.

He'll have a long wait at the altar if she's still sitting there.

Panic attack brewing and then...there he is. Great line.

I'm not sure how Max thinks he can take on a man who kills for a living.

Here comes Max. He must be fuming. All that money that's been spent...twice!
