Our Girl Thread 63 "Our Girl Revisited and then what?"

We started to follow "Our Girl" back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of "Soldier Soldier" to keep up our military terminology and galloped through three series of "The Musketeers". Of course, there is a definite connection between "Our Girl" and "The Musketeers" in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are now revisiting series 2 of Our Girl and are trying to decide what to watch after that.

Moving the wedding back a day or so? Yeah right!

How on earth do they manage to keep mucking about the church and venue

You can't push a wedding back a day. Just doesn't work in the real world.

Good grief. That is one house to buy on a doctor's salary.

So, how does he possibly think he can afford that place. He really can't be earning that much. Must have money stashed away somewhere.

Now we visit the mansion Dr Dull fancies. Must be loaded. Georgie starts to wonder if this is really the lie for her

That is, assuming Georgie won't be working for years with seven children to look after.

Look, I know medical Professors, not junior riffraff like him, and they couldn’t afford houses like that without family money!

We are all as one on the house-burying scenario.

Georgie has tracked down Abu's former girlfriend who chooses now to ring her. At least it interrupts the house hunting.

Off she goes on her secret mission to meet the ex girlfriend.

Georgie calls in to Elvis for help.

Now we meet Saira and hear about Abu/Jason as a student with a girlfriend. He obviously used her as part of his quest to be into Islam

Never have worked out what Georgie saw in Dr Dull other than the rebound. She certainly doesn’t confide in him.

Love how Elvis plays guardian angel.

Agree eejit that it was most likely a rebound thing.

I sometimes think we hold call I'm Dr Dull and Dense. Sure he can understand you don't get protection if itcis not something important. So might guess her meet up could be about that

And if he’s a doctor how come he can just drop things and accompany her to barracks on her last day? No wonder the NHS is on its knees.

Dr Dull looks very out of place at Georgie's presentation and farewell.

Oh look who has just materialised. It's Elvis.

I think Georgie thought she wanted someone the complete opposite to Elvis, and that's understandable given the heartache her caused her. It's a phase she's going through.

Meanwhile the lads and CJ throw her a party.

Here he is, choosing his moment again. Stare of death from Dr Dull.

'Don't marry him!' Of course, Elvis is right in what he says. Her head is not straight.
