Could this be linked to traffic cone somehow…?

I've caught up now. Tom Chaplin for Poodle definitely. After tonight, Aled Jones for Traffic Cones.

@JeffThePilot

Not caught up on this thread but my husband has suggested Julia Sawalha for Panda.

Voiced a character called Hammer in the Fable video game series. Also voiced a character in Chicken Run (animated).
Also provided additional voices in the game World of Warcraft who have a race of panda characters.
Can sing - was on Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes.

This sounds like a good call, didn’t she say something about being ‘starry eyed’? Also, she’s only 5’3”.

Just caught up. This thread is as mad as the programme Grin this made me laugh out loud:
What about Richard Curtis who is now a vicar but was in Eurythmics? Grin

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2022 22:14

Panda is Sonya
Rockhopper is Nina Person

I could be getting all the clues mixed up now and I don't even know which character they belong to - but just watching John Bishop's show and he showed a picture of his signature cake from Bake Off which was him lying on the ground after playing Djokovic at Wimbledon. He also said they fed the cake to the pigs which suggests he has a farm. He also crashed his car last year after swerving to avoid someone else. I can't remember if those are all relevant clues or if they all belong to the same character so feel free to ignore me!

ThePinkTeapot · 15/01/2022 22:29

Taken to recording this and running through it to just watch the clues and the reveal.

mooncheese · 15/01/2022 22:52

Does anyone remember the letters on Panda’s marshmallows?

What could that mean though Hmm

HandlebarLadyTash · 15/01/2022 23:07

How does the unmasking work?
Its filmed ages ago infront of an audience yet to keep it a secret doest the audience not see who us behind the mask?

Sunbird24 · 15/01/2022 23:07

I noticed in amongst the science-y writing for Poodle a formula that looked like it said JB2 (JB squared, can’t make the 2 right on my phone) = Poodle, did anyone else see it?

Yes I saw that. Was trying to figure it out!

I wondered that too. I'm sure previous series there was no audience at unmasking time but this time there seems to be people there

A friend of mine was in last year's virtual audience, and they didn't get to see who was unmasked, but I'm not sure how it works with a studio audience 🤔
GrandTheftWalrus · 15/01/2022 23:28

I'm sure they allow a small audience so they have the wow factor at unveiling but it's small.

WeAreTheHeroes · 15/01/2022 23:33

I suspect they record the audience reaction at points during the filming then use it "canned" for the unmasking. They'd not be able to keep everything secret otherwise.

kindlyensure · 15/01/2022 23:34

I'm sure during the last series (pre virtual audience) someone on a MS thread said they send the main audience away for the unmasking and then make up an audience of the production team etc, so the unmasking is 'in house'.

Yeah, that's what they do on the US version at least. The article I read about it said the audience are told to pretend they're looking at someone like Nicole Kidman!

Isy Suttie has a podcast called the Things We Do For Love.
