I've just seen that Salisbury /Ram have lost their semi -final so the doubles final will be an all Australian affair(Dick and Kokk are also through). I wouldn't want to be 'crowd contol' at that match.
I think the final is after the women's on Saturday? Which means it could potentially be quite late. Not a good combination really from what we have seen so far.

I certainly wouldn't want to be on security for those two! Not sure what's got into the Australian crowd but there is a report of a punch up late last night in the grounds.
I was hoping to watch the woman's today but my dog is sick so I'm running her out to the vets.

I've said I will go to my mum's- it's the only free morning I have. She will hopefully have the matches on!

The Aussie crowds have always been vocal- but it seems to have gone up a notch, and add Kyrgios to the mix and it seems to be a recipe for a riot.

But it's entertaining right?( when they are all arguing in the locker room).

I have just got home- and the tv was on in the background at my mum's . Glad to see Ash win (though I do like Madison)- I'm for Iga, I have never warmed to Danielle Collins at all.
I suppose it makes the final an easy choice. .

I've have also seen the schedule for tomorrow- and as I thought, Rafa's match is the afternoon one, and Daniil, the evening one.
I suppose it's only fair, since he is the number 1 seed.

If I don't have to watch Rafa, it might be better (though I would like to watch both Rafa and Matteo ).

Much less nail biting this morning for the womens SF than for the mens QF yesterday morning. What are your thoughts on the timing of the Rafa match now that we can see it is an afternoon one - will it clash horribly with the morning school run?

Well It could to be over (unless it overruns by a lot) before the school runs really start, going off previous matches that have started at that time.

The Nadal/Shapo match ended at 7.40am on Tuesday- just in time for me to leave at 7.50. But that was just over 4 hours long. Tomorrow's match is due to start not before 3.30 UK time- so it could be similar, unless the scoreline is similar to the only other time they have played (pretty easy win for Rafa in 3 sets).

(I expect tommorrow to be very different to the US Open match though- it was 2.5 years ago, and Matteo has got a lot more experience since then!)

Hmmm, it could be touch and go, couldn’t it. I have to be out of here by 8:10. And there is the inconvenient matter of getting Ds ready too. And myself of course. A pull on hat and my big coat may be involved!

Sue is on the BBC highlights - thought they’d locked her in the cupboard with AC! Oh he’s commentating - they must have let them both out .

I thought Rafa’s match would be on first - Stef and Daniil are both ranked higher. I think Rafa’s match will be long which will be good if I can watch some of it (but only good if he wins!) Really hope that he wins (sorry Matteo!)

FizzyI always forget the highlights are on. Although there hasn't been much time some days between the matches ending in Aus in the early hours -and the highlights show here.

Raahh on Tuesday I watched the long Berrettini match and then the highlights programme with Rafa - that was my day done .

They’ve shown quite a few of Rafa’s matches (probably because of no Roger or Djok!). Today is the first day I’ve seen Sue and Andrew though

Fizzy there is a lot more love in the BBC studio for Rafa than there seems to be in Aus, definitely- but I do agree that is the absence of Djok and Roger. No way would Sue be sitting there waxing lyrical about Rafa, if Roger was there.

Indeed Raahh - I bet Sue’s got a soft spot for Matteo though

I'm sure Sue does like Matteo- hard not to, really. .

I know Raahh - I suppose it was good that he was raising the issues but yes it was a bit much coming from him!

Oh yes, raising awareness is a good thing- it's really not talked about. But there is a time, a place- and a suitable spokesperson. .

I'm getting a bit miffed I won't see Rafa now. I will probably be awake in the early hours , so I might try and watch it- and sleep after lunch .

I didn't hear Andrew's period chat but as he lives in a house full of women he's probably not squeamish about it. I'd have welcomed the discussion when I was a teenager wondering how the women coped with short white dresses.

The thing is, he's not squeamish about anything, it seems, which is why he doesn't bloody shut up!

Wish Rafa was on earlier so I could just stay up or later so I could get up early!

Anyone else up? Usually I’m annoyed when I wake up this early but today I’m quite glad! This looks like it could be over quite quickly.

Chessie I've been awake on and off ( dog woke me up) for a while and held off checking the scores until about 10 minutes ago. I was bit surprised at the score to be honest. Didn't want to put the TV on this early.
