I've just finished watching it on catch up, that poor baby, he tortured him, what an absolute cunt, I hope he gets a taste of his own medicine in prison. Child killers are lower than low in prison.

Imvho, I think she covered out of fear, he was obviously a domestic abuser, as he did with his ex, screaming, hitting and strangling her, it takes time for someone to come out of that, to know they're safe. I think she was in shock rather than being cold. Not knowing how he was going to react.

ParkheadParadise · 04/01/2022 00:05

Rest in eternal peace Teddy 💙💙💙

I've known cunts like him I know what I'd do with his baseball bat.

acatcalledjohn · 04/01/2022 00:40

The interview with his ex was telling too, specific language she recalled that we'd heard him shout in the earlier video.

Absolutely horrifying. That poor, poor baby boy.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 04/01/2022 05:40

just awful, so so upsetting,

MrsLargeEmbodied · 04/01/2022 05:44

those neighbours making the recording of his shouting,
that would be just the tip of the iceberg

Simonjt · 04/01/2022 05:47

@CovidCorvid

I wonder if she was allowed her older kids back or not after the trial.
Hopefully not.
Lovemusic33 · 04/01/2022 05:58

I watched this too and will be watching the 2nd half.

A part of me feels sorry for her but another part feels she's as bad as him for allowing this monster near her kids. As a mum I would protect my kids with my life this man would be no where near my kids even of that meant risking my own life.

I hope they are both found guilty and that she doesn't get her other kids back.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 04/01/2022 06:30

she did not protect her children from a monster

dontforgettofloss · 04/01/2022 07:15

I watched this, it was chilling hearing him screaming at her like that- her kids must've been terrified of him.
And poor Teddie, that poor darling little boy Sad

I hope that evil cunt does a painful slow death

TheFairyCaravan · 04/01/2022 08:28

I watched this last night. It kept me awake for hours.

That poor little baby must have been in so much pain. He was only 11 weeks old when he died yet his injuries went back 6/7 weeks so there wasn’t a time when he didn’t know being abused. It just doesn’t bear thinking about.

The neighbours had made multiple calls to the police about the arguments and abuse from Mitchell towards the mother yet the children weren’t known to child protection. I don’t understand that. I know it’s probably down to funding, but how many more children are going to be killed before this gets sorted out?

RIP Teddie.

Roussette · 04/01/2022 08:36

Why do these women wheel in a bloke they barely know... let's remember the son wasn't his, she got pregnant by someone else, yet there he is... moved in, screaming abuse at her and no doubt the children.

I just don't understand it. I presume some women just can't be without a man, even a vile specimen like this one is.

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 08:46

She should never be able to bear children ever again. In my view, she's just as culpable, I've been in a severely abusive relationship and I know you can choose either your abuser or your children, in the same way the abuser can choose to abuse you or not. Would you seriously allow someone as disturbed as him around your children!

Beefcurtains79 · 04/01/2022 08:53

There was a thread on here a while ago slagging off an MP who said people need to be more careful of moving partners into the home with their children as statistically they are most at risk from harm by them.
It’s something that needs flagging up, why are people so desperate for partners they care more about that than their own children. It’s pathetic and horrific.

AngryApple · 04/01/2022 08:57

Horrific case. I hope he gets what he deserves. Evil! His interviews were almost laughable. How he’d think he’d get away with it, god only knows. I think the degree of injuries on the poor baby were just shocking.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 04/01/2022 09:47

The thing I can’t get my head round is that he had so much injuries, surely he would have been bruised, difficult to settle due to pain, his crying would have sounded different. As a mother of four she would have known something was very, very wrong.

sweatervest · 04/01/2022 09:54

so utterly brutal and awful.

i've already googled what sentence he got. it wasn't nearly long enough. i wonder what his parents thought of him? was he beaten as a child? i'm not making any excuses for him at all. loads of people had shit childhoods and didn't end up like him. i'm just wondering if his parents are mortified by his behaviour or just thinking "he was always angry". hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

plus the lady in charge reminds me of brenda blethyn in secrets and lies.

plus the trauma for Teddie's half siblings - to lose their baby brother like that. live back with their dad. hideous.

Rest in peace, Teddie.

Toddlerteaplease · 04/01/2022 09:57

Yes. The sentence is inadequate. I also think mum should have gone to jail as well.

Redburnett · 04/01/2022 10:03

The woman should have prioritised her children. Instead, after she split with her first three children's father, she took up with a series of other men according to neighbours, got pregnant by one, then moved the murderer into her home. She told absurd lies even in the first police interview, claiming the relationship was fine. She needs to accept responsibility for her actions and their impact on her remaining children.

theNumbersStation · 04/01/2022 11:21

No words that I can say.

That poor wee soul.

May Teddie know the peace now he should always have known.

May Kane never know another minute of peace in his life.

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 12:00

I don't condone the mothers behaviour at all, but she seemed like she needed a man to validate her and make her feel worthy, she got through a lot of men in a short space of time.

OP posts:
Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 12:03

Even if you watch how Kane speaks to the police when they arrive.. You can quite clearly see he's trying to convince them rather than convey any real concern for Teddie. It's chilling.

OP posts:
Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 12:07

And also detracting the attention to say it could be viral meningitis.. Getting him pumped full of intravenous drugs unnecessarily.

OP posts:
DillDanding · 04/01/2022 12:09

It was very difficult viewing.

I feel so cross with the woman too. She prioritised a relationship over her children. She moved that abusive monster into her home. I can’t imagine how horrendous that must have been for her 3 children. The footage of him shouting and swearing was so shocking.

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 12:11

I felt sick watching their crocodile tears when they were being arrested.
Disgraceful.

OP posts:
theNumbersStation · 04/01/2022 15:33

I hope the other children are ok. I can’t imagine their fear living in the same house as him. How much violence did they have to endure?

I also hope that the puppy was taken from her care too. It must have been as terrified as the children.

I’m sorry that she was also a victim but she did not care enough for the ones she had the responsibility to care for most.

She let him in.
