Does he not have a solicitor? Can he maybe opt for an appropriate adult in lieu of one?

VexedofVirginiaWater · 04/01/2022 21:26

I must have missed a bit - why does he need to have an appropriate adult? Why not just a solicitor?

Also, I have often wondered this, I presume they don't show this sort of programme in prisons? I was just imagining all the rest of the inmates watching it.

Hellocatshome · 04/01/2022 21:26

Does anyone know why a 31 year old would need an appropriate adult?

I wonder if its because if a learning disability? They said she was there to make sure he understood the questions.

WingBingo · 04/01/2022 21:26

What a nasty, angry piece of shit.

He boils with rage.

TequilaBlaze · 04/01/2022 21:26

I thought he actually seemed quite articulate, which made it worse in some ways

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 21:26

I bet Star Hobsons step mother was like this..
Given his "son" has just died, he seems completely nonplussed.

Solicitor present too.

Appropriate adult cause he's thick TBH

BorisBooster · 04/01/2022 21:27

Hope he loses it in interview. True colours.

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 21:27

Prison is the only place for this subhuman.

OP posts:
CovidCorvid · 04/01/2022 21:28

I’d actually be scared if I was that copper that he’d lose it and lunge at me in the interview. I’d want the table between me and him.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 04/01/2022 21:28

He seems to think it's fine to make threats and it's clever and works to get her to do what he wants

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 04/01/2022 21:28

That little baby would have been safer on his own.

He is a disgusting, lying arsehole.

Roussette · 04/01/2022 21:29

He talks like a threat is OK and quite normal... it worked.

HeckinMiffed · 04/01/2022 21:29

Glad someone mentioned the wee puppy. poor wee thing, hope he's been rehomed and is safe like the kids.
watching part 2 on catch up, he's one scary angry man.

waterlego · 04/01/2022 21:29

I would guess the appropriate adult attended because of some sort of documented SEN or learning difficulties. That could include non-specific difficulties like having a low IQ. (I think. Prepared to be corrected if I’ve got that wrong). I worked as an Intermediary which was a similar role but we usually worked with defendants actually during their trial. We sometimes attended police interviews too. We were allocated to people aged between 18 and 25 who had autism or Speech and Language Disorders/Conditions.

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 21:30

I'm sure he knew that already.

OP posts:
FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 04/01/2022 21:30

I don’t understand. Wasn’t she pregnant when they met?

Sharpie0870 · 04/01/2022 21:30

I don't see any genuine tears falling out of his eyes.

OP posts:
TequilaBlaze · 04/01/2022 21:30

That's not real crying is it?

BorisBooster · 04/01/2022 21:30

He knew he wasn't the father.

parchedjanuary · 04/01/2022 21:30

What a scumbag. I'm so angry.

MaybeHeIsMyCat · 04/01/2022 21:30

Least convincing crying ever

CovidCorvid · 04/01/2022 21:30

I googled
