The Great Pottery Showdown back tonight

[EewDavid]

Is anyone going to be watching? I absolutely love it despite only ever having one go at throwing a pot at school, forgetting to take my foot off the pedal and watching as the clay shot off the wheel into the adjoining open-plan science area. Looking forward to the new host too as I felt the last one made it a bit like a vehicle for her stand-up comedy routine.

That looks Gollumn like

AJ for the win

AJ’s bridge is fab.
Several of the others are a bit….murky.

That bridge is gorgeous

I also loved the coal waggon

I didn't like A.Js. I didn't like the painted outlining of the bricks.

The boat is lovely.

I love the boat but would like it to be less grey

Did anyone else see the word Poo on the windows of the boat?

I thought it was Doc @SoupDragon

I thought it said Doc

I love the detail on the boat and also loved the postbox. The water fountain was also good - I agree the wall let it down.

I don't really like this task. Black and white does nothing for them. I liked the water pump. The boat is good.

I like Cellans coal wagon, the wood effect is fab! Anna reminds me a bit of Sal last year.

Yay! Boat!

Well deserved I think.

Josh?? I'm shocked. I genuinely think it should have been Miles.

Well deserved win for Nick.

Yay raku, my favourite

I always enjoy raku week too

Really looking forward to raku next week. I think it was close between Miles and Josh to go this week - loved the boat although I think it would have looked even better with a bit more of the glaze wiped off.

Not sure Josh should have gone. Miles was last in the challenge & I didn't like the apple with random bits stuck in it.

Loved the boat. But Nick is one of our favourites anyway because he's a tech / props guy for Doctor Who.

Cellan is lovely. I want to adopt him.

I imagine there was some heated debate about which it them should go. I suppose Miles might have got bonus marks for rescuing his in such a short space of time.

he's a tech / props guy for Doctor Who.

I think that shows in the attention to detail in his pottery.

I'm not sorry to see Josh go.

That said, the apple was not good but it was in one piece.

The apple was a strange choice (would a tree maybe have worked better?) but I'm glad Miles stayed over Josh.

Can't wait for the terrifying raku!
