Was sooo excited when looking through Christmas Radio Times to see this! Loved this book as a child - so hope (when she can read) DD can learn to appreciate it

this is the only thing i want to watch over xmas too. still have my original copy - think i probably can't convince 5 year old to listen to me reading it though.

anyone stick it on a DVD for me???

[hopeful]

me too! i adored that book when i was younger. it's so wonderfully written, the characters are real, and i love the practicality of how they work bloody hard to put their respective talents to good use and make something of themselve. should be compuslory reading for every child, male or female.

can't wait to see what they've done with the adaptation but have a feeling dp might try to veto.
