As there isn't a lot of traction on individual threads I thought I'd create a generic thread as most of us seem fond of a few.

Loving the New Jersey trailer released today. Teresa is back to her table crashing ways. She seemed so chilled on the ultimate girls trip as well !

Has anyone started on the new Jersey series yet? Ashamed to say that I've completed it (DP was out most of yesterday so I binged the lot ).

Keen to hear other people's views; I can't discuss it on my social media as I have friends in common with a few of them!

@ImInStealthMode I have watched the first 5 episodes of Jersey so can't fully comment but my thoughts so far -

Tessa comes across a lot better than last season. I genuinely felt she wanted to stop filming after the beef with Margret. (I do think Margret went to far and had plotted a take down with Ashley and Kate pre season)
I get the impression Tessa doesn't need the money and mainly does it to promote her daughter's singing career and husbands art.

New girls Sareh and Karen bring some much needed younger glamour. Also Karen has genuine coin. Can't remember who they replaced which is probably telling.

Mia - still like her. She understands the assignment. The producers tell her to make up with Tessa. She does so. Also creates drama and gives shade in confessionals.

Margaret- still get bad vibes. Don't know why.

Ashley - I can't comment. She's pregnant and I was irrational AF during both of mine so I will give her a pass until next season.

Kate- liked her last season and like her now. She's a character for sure but has a good heart. As a mother of teenage boys I'm not entirely sure writing and releasing a song to reunite with her estranged son is a good idea.

Jersey - the true winner. Looks lovely. Also sunny.

I must agree Jersey comes off better than any of the characters (and it really is that beautiful in the summer!) although it is funny when they're walking down one street and then there's a jump cut and they're somewhere else entirely It's fun seeing familiar places, they often film in mine & DP's favourite restaurant.

I agree, I think Tessa's ok. I saw her at a work event recently year and she was very 'on'; making eye contact, smiling and saying Hi to everyone (presumably just in case one of the strangers in the room could be of use to her one day). My friend has been to her house a couple of times for drinks and gets on really well with her.

I like the new Sarah/Sahra(?) a lot. I thought her naivety about the island was funny. I'd like to go for a night out with her. I'll work on it

Karen I liked at the start but by the end I wasn't so sure.

Margaret comes across as really nasty & catty this season, but I'm told she's great fun in real life so who knows.

Kate I used to adore and have met a couple of times socially, but she recently got banned from driving for ploughing her car into a wall pissed, so all respect for her is gone. I have a few mutual friends with her Son and apparently he's a lovely lad, but he must surely be absolutely mortified by her?? What teenage Lad wouldn't be?

No strong feelings on Mia or Ashley really. I think it shows a bit that Ashley's locally born and bred; she's a bit more naive to the wider world than the others.

Watch Jersey as we speak. Tessa is an absolute knob. She was the one that said Margret was boring when asked about the Twitter like. Instead of making light of it though she pressed on being unkind with the tiny violin and refusal to say perhaps it was mean and she was sorry. She spoilt the birthday party.

Yet now everyone need to be kind to her?

Love Kate. Bonkers.

Karen is a dick. She gets what Margret is saying about Tessa bringing it up at the birthday dinner and having “no regrets” but because Tessa is the big nasty girl she’s going with that.

Sarah’s ok. Just doing her snd not taking sides or getting sucked into drama.

I wasn’t sure about SLC, but have to admit I’m warming to it.. Mary fascinates me.
Favourite franchise, hands down is BH.. I love Kathy Hilton, really hoping she returns next season.

I've started to watch Jersey.
I really like Kate, she seems like a nice person but she projects a particular image. The new women are ok thus far, although Sarha's boyfriend looks like he could be a stirrer.
I don't really get what the row was between Margaret and Tessa, or why it blew up, but Tessa looked rough the next morning.
No-one seems particularly stylish, they all have that kind of over made up and over done up look, even the younger women. No disrespect to the owner of that boutique, but the dresses for that Vegas party - yikes!

I think I've been in that shop once in 20 years I believe they keep a record of what they've sold to who for specific events to avoid clashes though, which is helpful!

Maybe they're catering for a certain type, it just seemed a bit 1980s Dynasty, and not in a good way. Not everyone is fashion forward, but there's a lack of style.

@Maireas I don't think Milan, New York or Paris need to be worried about Jersey competing with them in the style stakes, that's for sure. I'm almost certain that in real life Ladies of that calibre would be in London regularly for clothes shopping. Tessa certainly is.

I am so over invested in Jen Shahs arrest! I can not believe it was during filming.

Apparently the FBI have a 95% conviction rate, and two of her codefendants have changed their plea to guilty in what appears to be some kind of plea bargain.

She has zero self awareness and is constantly on Instagram professing her innocence. It’s so hard to look away! Her trial is March, and I am lead to believe they will be filming again then..

I’m half way through Jersey season 2. Absolutely loved the MN thread last year with so many comments from MNers living in Jersey giving their opinions and adding in so many additional facts. Disappointed by the lack of Cisco so far this season, but good to see Tiago the ever present barman popping up again briefly!

I’m fascinated by the spelling of Sarha’s name - is it really spelt like that or is she trying to jazz up being called Sarah?

I love the Housewives!
My all time favourite is New York.
I just think the NY women are more interesting .
But the most recent series was disappointing.
Can’t wait for the return of Dorinda.

I have many fond memories of Jersey holidays as a child and so love the background views more than the drama. Am about halfway through the second series and my thoughts so far on the women
Tessa and Margaret - two sides of the same coin, neither has the ability to see how unpleasant they can be in dishing out insults but then get so upset when the tables are turned. Both like to think that they are the Queen Bee of the group.

New Girls Sarha and Karen, what a refreshing change to any Housewives franchise. I really like Karen and I can't understand why she isn't getting more support from the others with the Margaret situation. She is absolutely right to say that Margaret's 'banter' is inappropriate as Margaret doesn't know her yet and I too see it as little jibes and dogs at Karen. Also, she isn't doing the same thing to Sarha (maybe because she sees a future property sale!)

I mentioned looking at the background and has anyone else noticed Heidi(?), one of the former housewives. I'm sure it's her in a red dress at the casino night and also at the baby gender reveal I think she's part of the large group of guests who turn up. It's a bit blurry but Tessa definitely goes over to greet her.
I am amazed the editors didn't notice the older guy who toppled off his tall chair when everyone was at the Jersey Ball or whatever it was when they were all sitting out on a large lawn awaiting to see who turned up in their fancy cars.
It looked like a genuine accident and his friend his desperately try to help him up!

Was it episode 1? Anyway it was some sort of garden party and the bloke behind fell off his stool, flat on his back! He was obviously ok, but quite a comedic moment!

I did see that but only when someone pointed it out! Insider info; what he was sat on isn't actually a stool (so no wonder it toppled).

The venue is the Vineyard restaurant and they have things like the below that are meant to sit your wine cooler on at the end of the table so it doesn't take up space on the table. They're not really robust enough to sit on!

I worked there for a while many moons ago and the number of people who tried to steal them!

Love housewives, new york is my all time favourite however i am loving salt lake city and the resent episodes are so good would be in top 3 of all time. I think new york ladies where all so glamorous very messy drunk thou , but salt lake ladies their lives are just so messy! Fascinating about Jen arrest and Mary's cult! I think with new york there is genuine friendships with them and not just because they are on the same show which i find with all other franchise

I agree about Margaret's use of the b word, which I absolutely hate, it's so misogynist. I really can't stand women using it against other women.
I wonder what Margaret is like in real life? Kate seems to like her.
