If I loved Schitts Creek what else should I try on Netflix?

I have just finished Schitts Creek and thought it was brilliant. Can anyone suggest anything else on Netflix that is feel-good and clever ?

For gentle comedy kims convenience is quite good

The good place feels similar to me. If you've got apple tv then ted lasso is similar feeling to schitts.

Yep, came to say Parks and Rec!! Kims convenience is good, and I love The good place too!

I keep trying the first episode of Schitts Creek but can’t get into it.

Does it get better?

BiscuitLover. That’s my fear. I’ve not seen anything as perfect. Frasier is comparable for me but in terms of character transformation, story development, acting and just general loveliness it’s going to be hard to find anything that compares .

I’ll definitely try The good place and Kim’s convenience. I’ve only got Netflix at the moment. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Agree with good place and parks and rec. Also Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. And some bits of US office but not the last few series - sheesh.

Not on Netflix but for British/Irish comedies on 4 on demand or i player I loved this way up, back to life, ghosts, Derry girls and outlaws.

Modern Family is the only series that has come anywhere close for me.

Have you seen the Christopher Guest films? His most famous film is this is spinal tap, but he has lesser known mockumentary films and he often uses the same actors - including Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara from Schitt’s Creek. I love Best in Show and A Mighty Wind. They’re both very deadpan but heartwarming.

Derry Girls, season 1 is on Netflix and season 2 on 4od.

Also Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, I found it really light and funny but it is very quirky and silly so maybe not everyone's cup of tea

I managed 2/3 episodes but just didn’t get it. It was really slow. Would be interesting to watch again and see if it gets better.

Same thing happened with ‘Love actually’
I started watching so many times and gave up. FINALLY watched it all the way through when I was ill and really really enjoyed it (or maybe the painkillers had something to do with it?! )

It took me a few episodes to get in to Schitt's Creek but it then turned into one of my favourites. I'd suggest Modern Family if you haven't already done it.

A bit different but I'm getting into Seinfeld (many years late).

I agree it's just my humour and very clever and cool whilst being absolutely bloody adorable.

Didn’t love The Good Place

Schitts Creek is fantastic but you have to watch 3 episodes before it warms up, they’re too awful in the first couple of episodes.

I tried the Santa Clarita Diet and didn’t love it. I loved Ghosts on BBC .

For those asking about Schitts Creek. I tried it once before and gave up after the second episode. But two of my friends said to not give up and give it at least 5 episodes. I gradually got into it and loved each series more than the last as the story and characters developed. I’m so glad I persisted as it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen.
