Here's the line-up.

I couldn't see a thread so thought I'd start one.

I know 7/10, which is pretty good for me!

@RainbowZebraWarrior

It was Daveeed who said he would go in the cage. I know he looks fit and does his press ups etc. But he did have a heart attack that nearly killed him!
I know about the heart attack. However, he would have had a medical before going on the show, and he wouldn't have been picked by the producers for the particular challenge if they thought that medically he wasn't up to it (like when they exclude people from trials on medical grounds).

He clearly keeps himself fit, so I don't think running up and down stairs would have been a problem for him. He even said afterwards he should have done it.

As StormyCornishSeas said, the looks he was giving NB in the interview afterwards were not nice. I just think that David came across as not particularly nice during that.

ilovebrie8 · 24/11/2021 14:22

Totally agree @RainbowZebraWarrior if NB is this flaky/fragile he shouldn’t be there ...he came across as very immature and petulant. David did nothing wrong in my view ...NB is a grown man ...supposedly !! Richard and David are my faves so far...

the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 14:36

Richard probs won't win it , but he'll be the voice of reason at all times !

JacquelineCarlyle · 24/11/2021 14:49

I completely agree @ilovebrie8 & @RainbowZebraWarrior - love David (& Richard!).

Hoping for fun times when the camps join together!

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/11/2021 14:57

I think I did top 3 for Richard via bets

lockdownalli · 24/11/2021 15:20

No sympathy for Mardy Boy - he's a 37 year old man FFS.

Agree it's all a bit grim so far and needs lightening up.

GrandTheftWalrus · 24/11/2021 15:28

NB is the same age as me and I wouldn't act like that!

the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 15:33

This person I know who is like NB is 44.
Honestly, I've met 18 year olds who are far more mature than they are with their ' persecution complex' , which is what someone said NB has and certainly sums him up.
I hate the whole ' snowflake' talk so beloved of DM readers, but there are a few amongst us who cannot handle real life , I have a theory they were brought up by parents who indulged them 100 percent to think that the world did revolve around them alone :)
They can be hard going.

watchingrnfire · 24/11/2021 16:29

@Ilovefluffysheep I completely agree!!! That first challenge it was due to David putting him down, naughty boy kept saying I did my best, and got no reassurance from David

the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 17:15

David isn't one to reassure though ; having lived for 32 years with someone very similar, I can see how it's frustrating but some people don't do empathy at all!

Inkanta · 24/11/2021 17:31

Naughty Boy and Arlene are hungry, tired and fed up. I can understand the resentment with the main group.

Inkanta · 24/11/2021 17:32

Richard's game plan is probably to be the voice of reason. I like folk to be real and also moody if that's how they feel.

the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 17:34

It is funnier if they kick off a bit but too many are media savvy and they know how to play the public.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 24/11/2021 18:01

My last thoughts on last night. As a 54 year old man who's had a quadruple heart bypass, I don't see why David Ginola should reassure a 37 year old man. David has done his best and is used to others pulling their weight as part of a team. Being a grown up and taking responsibility. Doesn't make him an unfeeling person. He was disappointed. Someone said last night that as David was / is an athlete, he should have done the running up and down with the bucket. No.

Richard did do a great job of trying to diffuse, reassure, support. He got nowt back. By the looks of the clip from tonight, he went full gusto into his challenge. He is also cold, tired and hungry. Let's face it, this all comes down to resilience and knowing what you got yourself into.

Similarly, someone said that NB was at a disadvantage being against a Paralympian in the bucket challenge. Err, she has MS!

iawbuwes · 24/11/2021 18:15

On a basic salary of £81,932 she can afford a bloody nanny

JacquelineCarlyle · 24/11/2021 18:43

@iawbuwes ??

AnyFucker · 24/11/2021 19:05

I think someone got confused with the Stella Creasey thread Smile

NB isn't a child, he's 37. I can imagine a 10 year old keep saying "I did my best" and looking for reassurance.

Stella Creasey?
the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 19:48

Don't tell me that Stella Creasy has rocked up to north Wales with the baby in a sling ?
Poor baby ! 😂

JaneJeffer · 24/11/2021 20:00

A nanny for Naughty Boy?

lonsdaleshorts · 24/11/2021 20:21

I am just catching up. Richard is doing well. I think NB and Arlene are behaving childish.

ilovebrie8 · 24/11/2021 20:33

NB and Arlene are behaving childish ...they are being paid sweetly and acting like numpties ...they’ve only been in a few days...

aawcmon · 24/11/2021 20:53

Am i the only one who is really struggling with the amount of times they hear the word 'like'? I actually had to turn it over, it was like nails down a blackboard for me (but then i am a grump)
