Looks good and right up my street - wondering if hubby is having an affair or even if jo is playing around

I downloaded my copy of the book to my Kindle today and started to re-read it.

At 49% I remembered what it was that her husband is keeping from her. (Nuff said and no spoilers from me.)

You know how when you read a book which is subsequently adapted for film or tv and you watch the production and get a bit annoyed that characters and incidents have been left out (to cut production costs or to fit into a 90 minute film?)
Well here we have the reverse! I counted 4 characters in the first 3 episodes that do not appear in the book!
It's like the producers thought, "Good basic premise but not complex enough to allow for the red herrings to keep our audience engaged."

So did she not actually sleep with Thomas?
When she came back down to the bar from upstairs I couldn't tell what she said she there was no subtitles on catch up for yesterday 😞

It was her imagination ..... as far as I could tell. It was soo muddled last night, kept flipping from the past to the present to her memories returning to her fantasies . So odd.

I am on episode 2. Its very weird. I have read the book and I don't recall the weird things in the TV adaptation

Very odd series but I am definitely drawn in. I like how it's impossible to tell what is real and what are hallucinations. Do we think the dead fox was real?? And what is the connection with her childhood and the incident with the hot? Very very strange!

I've seen the actress who plays Anna in something else. It's bugging me that I can't remember what it is. Does anyone know what else she's appeared in?

Anna - Leanne Best
Anna is Jo's co-worker and she is played by Leanne Best, known for playing the title character in The Woman in Black: Angel of Death.

She is also the niece of former Beatle, Pete Best.

The 42-year-old's other credits include Young Wallander, Cold Feet and Line of Duty.
