I like the new igloo outside. My best moment so far is Desiree Burch's increasingly pissed-off, deadpan "ding ding" as she shops at the Balloon Popping Shop.

Alan Davies' hair appears to have aged without taking his face along with it.

Also! I [heart] Victoria Coren Mitchell and her customised inhaler. Seeing her in action on the riddle task was a balm unto the soul.

Seeing Victoria’s determination as she learned to cycle was very endearing.

This series is making me fall even more in love with Alan & Victoria than I already was!

Anyone else also watching Only Connect and wondering if VC's odd fashion choices are linked to a task? She's worn some weird glasses, a face tattoo/ sticker thing and a few other stuff that have not been mentioned at all or explained for any other reason.

Me! I'm loving it! Love the igloo, we stayed at a hotel with a couple of these and had our anniversary dinner in it, it was lovely! Loving all of them, guz is hilarious, can't believe it took him 45 mins to notice the riddle!

I've really enjoyed VCM in this series so far - the bike task was delightful

I like watching Alex react to the contestants. During the group task he was practically falling off his chair laughing at Desiree, Guz and Morgana

Yes, you always know it's good when Alex breaks, and even better when he has to hide his face behind his clipboard because he's laughing so hard.

I loved Victoria on the bike as a 41 year old who also can't ride a bike.

VCM is obviously going to lose horribly, unless the rest of the series turns out to be massively stacked with more riddle tasks from the customised inhaler side of things, but I think she's my MVP. I loved her wobbly joy on a bike (it's not often you get to see an adult learn to ride a bike on national TV) and her explanation of cool people vs people who customise their inhalers.

I'd love to go to a dinner party with Victoria and David Mitchell.

I love her on it too! That riddle task - asking Alan "how do you know?' without even considering that he'd have the other half of the clues!

I read that they each do the tasks individually long before the broadcast, and then the editors determine which tasks go together in each episode, which presumably means they can make different people win different weeks, and possibly keep the audience guessing throughout the series whether someone will make a 'comeback' etc. - all a bit artificial drama! But yes I think Victoria will come last and make a funny thing of it.

Oh Taskmaster is wonderful and one of the things keeping me going in life at the moment! We watch it all together as a family (swears n all) and it's just wonderful. VCM on the riddle task was incredible and I just loved the juxtaposition of her and the other team 😂 I love Alan Davies so much. During the riddle task DH said "of course he knew where to find the puzzle, he's Jonathan Creek!" 😂

This is a bit sad but I loved Alan’s Dignity hoodie so much, I bought myself one.

Episode 5 of Series 12 was on last night. It was so good, I just didn't want it to come to an end! The cake task was pure joy...

Omg. Is that the task featured in the credits that involved Morgana sitting on a cake? I guess Alex has been so traumatised since Liza Tarbuck made him do it that he's been looking for the perfect opportunity to make all the contestants do it...

Yes, the sitting on the cake was great payback.

We would never miss it. We've also been watching lots of foreign versions on YouTube. Both seasons of the NZ version are excellent, especially season 2. We've also enjoyed the first seasons of the Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish versions. All very different.

Yesterday’s episode was great and that live task was genuinely tense.

If you don’t listen to the official podcast it is worth a listen. I’m not the biggest fan of Ed Gamble but he’s a good host and they get good guests. Last weeks had Victoria on and she was as entertaining as you’d expect!

I love her so much.

I love Victoria too. She's wonderful. Her bike riding joy was the best of any series!

I also love Victoria and think her and David Mitchell are just perfect for each other.

I think my favourite thing about Taskmaster is the fact that Alex Horne invented it. I hope that means that he’s the one making serious money from it, especially now it’s moved to E4 and has been sold to other countries.

I like to think he’s sitting there Greg and all these other celebrities going “you made me eat a disgusting concoction but I don’t care cos I’ve made ten times more this episode than you have”.
