is anyone watching this? It just seems stupidly unfunny. Am I missing something?

I suppose it’s understandable that people think it’s real because that’s their aim. I agree there is a lot of shocking stuff out there.

AHs mum is only 70...and its only a couple of years since she lost her nan who was in her 90s .....but...that said....its all done tongue in cheek...its just a bit of fun...cantsee why it bothers people so much 🙄

I've watched the last two episodes and found it very funny. Not usually a fan of Leigh Francis or AH but somehow it all works. They both play it totally straight and it's not over-blown. Dh and I both laughed a lot tonight.

It’s painful, had to give up. I do like that Amanda is good at sending herself up. I just think they could have got better mileage out of the show.

Am guessing they couldn’t go for it being her mum, as she’s probably been in the press more over the years.

But could have gone with Amanda teaming up to befriend an older person coming out of lockdown. And got a better make-up artist to make the actor look less like Keith Lemon in layers of latex. Still plenty of potential humour, plus more chance of stringing people along (for at least an episode).

Why would anyone object to him dressing up as a woman? I mean, he’s not funny whether he’s himself or dressed up as Craig David or Mel B!

Given how old AH is, the woman is the right age to be her mum, not her Nan.

(NB I haven't watched it, obvs, was just irritated by the false premise)

From the clips of just seems like a bit of a parody - and I’d normally enjoy that. I won’t watch or listen to anything with Amanda Holden in though - I think she’s a horrible, nasty, self-obsessed individual and I’d probably end up throwing something at my tv watching her preen and prance around 😂

Actually I had a nan and grandad alive at 50 and they came to my party.
Grandad moved into a nursing home when I was 54 and nan 6 months after him. They died when I was 55.
So not beyond the realms of possibility to have grand parents alive at 50.
( my brother and sister are similar ages so they too had gp while they were in their 50s)

I saw the ad and said to DH wtf. This is what counts as entertainment now?!
