Vera - what the heck did she just order in the cafe?!

So she asked for an egg and tomato roll, then said “And I’ll have one of those.” What the heck was it, it looked very odd!

Can you describe it?

It looked like a cake with an apricot on top to me. Never had one and never seen one before.

Apricot cake is a thing. Sadly I’m only listening, not watching. So had come on to say egg roll.

It looked like one of those peach melbas that you can get in Greggs.

Ooohh could be the peach melba thing, but looked a bit smaller and the top was a bit higher, more egg shaped.

It was probably Peach Melba, yes, but Vera's looked a really deep yellow! The egg and tomato roll sounded nice, not seen that combination for a while.

My mum said when I was little we lived in Newcastle and there was a bakery that sold them but they were pineapple not peach. Maybe it was something like that.

Vera is filmed in the NE so it'll be a peach melba. They are a Greggs speciality, although they've stopped making them recently.
