I really enjoyed the first episode

I was utterly convinced as it started that they were going to kill carol - the thought hadn't occurred to me before that. But I suddenly thought, if she has now said she can't commit to the 'Darryl and carol do europe' series, maybe they will kill her out of spite! Glad she survived 😥

I imagine carol would be wary of taking on Judith and RJ... she doesn't have the best track record at growing her DC to adulthood!

Yes, Carol would definitely be receiving social services attention in RL.

I liked the throwback to episode 1, when daryl put the hospital trolley in front to of the door to protect Judith.
Just like Shane did for Rick

Yes, that was a good link back to Judith's actual biological father and stepfather.

We never actually knew who Judith’s bio dad was, Lori wasn’t sure.

I think she was preg when Rick was in a coma as didn’t she give birth at so many days past and she def wasn’t 9mths in to the new life

Yes I think Rick acknowledged that he wasn't her father but said he loved her like he was anyway.

Shane was her biological father... makes me want to go back and watch from the beginning but I really didn't like the character of Lori!

I did wonder as he did it if it was going to end with Judith in a hospital on her own, in a coma...

I think TWD should have ended a few series ago but I’m glad I stuck with it to the end.
Im not sure how I feel about the ending I suppose it was always going be difficult to come to a satisfactory ending.
Did Negan leave at the end and what happened his wife it didn’t really show her.

Oh Lydia, and Judith! Had my stomach in knots. "Daryl, you deserve a happy ending too". WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! That little girl is going to be in big demand now - her little face when she clocked Rosita and put two and two together - arghhhhhhhhhh. Knew she'd get the last line on that.

OMG Rosita! But in fairness yes, how could she have fallen in to that pack, protected the baby AND come out unharmed.

Big thanks to Negan and Mercer for making my long dead ovaries flutter. So glad I'll get more Negan, and at this point I don't even care where Annie went...I'm so baaaaaaaad!

So Carol and Daryl were the only originals left (can't count Rick who has been MIA for years). I think they really do love one another but know it couldn't work, both too bloody minded!

Michonne can't have got much done she'll have been sitting around sewing that leather outfit together, I mean she didn't get that from the back of a grocery store! Really wasn't clear where the hell Rick was - and why did he throw his rucky in to the boat, is he expecting to pop back later and pick it up?

I'm kind of sad it's done but looking forward to FTWD and the spin offs.

The boat was the very same one that Michonne found, along with his boots and journal! He left it there to be found.

So the 2 timelines were different - one was Rick’s first escape, probably not long after getting to the CRM, Michonne’s was 4/5 years later, after she knew he was out there and went searching for him.

The World Beyond is already out, two series of it. I think it’s on Prime.

I think I remember reading that the Darryl and the Maggie/negan spin-offs are due next year?

I think the spin off is Daryl and Maggie.

There are three confirmed spin offs

Negan and Maggie which I think is set in New York
And Daryl on his own in Paris.

Mcbride confirmed earlier in the year she couldn't commit to it so they forged ahead with just Daryl

And of course, Rick and Michonne...
