I really enjoyed the first episode

I miss Glenn also and so many of the old main characters, sick of all these new people and Daryl has lost his edge now. But that's not his fault, the writing has not been great and think once they killed off Carl and Rick left and then other main characters it changed. Am on season 5 of rewatching and it is brilliant as forgot most of it as in peri-meno so brain fog so really enjoying it, all the old favourites, Abraham rick michone, maggie, carol, tyreese, bob, and Gabriel just came into it, love his dark humour, tara, sasha, really good season.
My son used to collect the comic books and if you join them up side by side the artwork on the covers all connect up, really cool. Great thread here.

Films sound interesting I’ll be giving them a go. I heard about Negan and Maggie but rumours were it was a spin off show but movie will be good.

I spotted that pesky ring on his finger and then twigged it was her before he said it. I'm still hurt.

Not a fan of any of these people in the commonwealth save for Mercer who I may have to turn my affections to if Negan is going to keep getting bloody married...

I don’t really get why they had Negan get married? I don’t feel like he would.

The marriage has to be a device to transition to the next part of his story.

Andrew Lincoln was seen out and about in Atlanta with Norman Reedus recently so fingers crossed he's in the last episode. Also, a picture was released on the final day of filming this week of all the cast and crew and chandler rings (carl) was in it so maybe a flashback to him in the finale?

Was struggling not to fall asleep during that episode. 95% boring talking and 5% action.

Actually can’t wait for it to end got to stick it out tho, have come this far and tbh Negan and Daryl are enough for me to keep going with it

Everything seems conveniently close now, doesn’t it? I mean, if the Commonwealth was so near to Hilltop and Alexandria, why did they never stumble across it? Unless they teleport across distances. (Most journey seem to be on foot or horseback.)

Dear god what have I just watched.....how confused am I, tell you I wish I could just fast forward to the end when Rick and his new army will come back and save them all and take them away to civilisation......in my mind!

I can't wait for those silly toy soldiers in their white uniforms to be GONE.

The last episode like a parody of the old walking dead, it is just ridiculous and agree with Aba1d1 Daryl looks ridiculous in that outfit and do not for one minute think he would have ever gone to live in the Commonwealth. Cannot wait for it to be over. We are now on season 6 as started watching Walking Dead all over again and it was truly great in 4/5/6/ all the old characters, fantastic storylines, lots of action, and then having to watch this recent episode my son and I were actually laughing as it was soo bad.

I thought there was a glimmer of hope for the season last week when Negan was back, but this week complete rubbish again. I really don't know what the writers are thinking...

I think I’m missing Rick, too, and his constant moral struggle to protect his people without becoming ‘dead’ as a human being himself. I can see that Daryl went to the Commonwealth with the children because he thought it was the best thing for them. But it’s the same old story—leader creates a society that protects its people from the dead and gives them security and food and shelter but it comes at a terrible price. We have seen this story play out at least five or six times.

I agree that we've seen it play out several times but more annoyingly with the same characters - so why would they even go for it? Makes no sense. And has Daryl really run so dry of rebellion that he's happy to wear a plastic stormtrooper outfit? No, it just doesn't wash...NO HAPPY!

The breaks really impact the flow.

I've just discovered walking dead and binge watched all the way up to the current episodes. Finally caught up and now there's going to be a break? Anyone know how long the breaks last?

I agree it's getting a bit formulaic now though and have no idea why Daryl is putting up with any of the commonwealth nonsense. Hoping they give the series a good send off.
