Surely they've got to be thinking of getting some more newbies in there, or are we left with this shower of shite for another long week?

Liberty definitely needs a hottie to sweep her off her feet. Ideally with Jake watching.

Anon778833 · 13/08/2021 12:56

I think Liberty's age is the only thing that has held her back because she's only 21 and hasn't had the opportunity until recently to see what Jake is really like. She took him on face value. But she seems intelligent and I don't think she'll put up with this much longer.

hyperbole001 · 13/08/2021 12:56

@Unsubscribed

I think if Liberty saw it out then stole the 50k it would actually make my year. 😂

I would love this, and it would save the series from being a complete flop.

Seeing as this is my first LI - what does this mean? Can she steal the prize money, or is it divided between the couple?
CarpyDiem · 13/08/2021 12:56

If they want some drama, engineer Faye's removal.

Then Priya and Teddy get together, Brett comforts Liberty, snakey Jakey tells Mary he's fancied her from the start but couldn't let poor Lib Lib down, and invisible Aaron has to leave as spare man.

TellingBone · 13/08/2021 12:58

I imagine the producers have been frantically conferencing to see what drama can be injected to keep up viewing figures for the final 10 days.

Couples are all settled except Lib and Jake. Which makes for boring viewing. Can't see any 'bombshells' splitting up any of this lot at this late stage.

One of the things they haven't done this time is bring in someone's ex [ISTR that happening before?]. Tweets. Lie detector [a lie in itself, like the heart monitors].

What would you do?

PumpkinKlNG · 13/08/2021 13:00

I don’t think they let alone in this late do they?? I looked up amber and Greg to see how late he came in because I forgot (but everyone mentioned him coming in super late and still wining with amber) but he came in 15 days before winning, we haven’t got that long left now?

QueenBee52 · 13/08/2021 13:12

why is Chloe's speech always slurred ..

Cheeseplantboots · 13/08/2021 13:19

I’m warming to Ti y, but Chloe! No no no. Her voice is horrific, she sounds like she’s off her face all the time. It must be put on.

Cheeseplantboots · 13/08/2021 13:20

Warming to Toby!

Cheeseplantboots · 13/08/2021 13:22

@hyperbole001 - it’s given to one contestant of the winning couple (can’t remember how that’s decided) but they they decide if the want to spirit it or keep it.

MickShipman · 13/08/2021 13:24

Despite just being a lurker I've been reading all the LI threads this series and got to say - you guys have kept me going this year! Commentary on here has been waaaay more exciting than the show 😂

Can I petition that as soon as this series is done we all go back and watch series 2, an episode a night? I haven't seen that series and apparently it's the best.

CarpyDiem · 13/08/2021 13:36

There are two envelopes, they each choose one (boy usually gives girl the first pick). One contains the winning ticket.

The person who gets the winning ticket then decides whether (to use that Kilroy catchphrase) to share or shaft

It's always been 'share' to date

Christinayangtwistedsister · 13/08/2021 13:37

I think if they added the tweets in now it would really give lib some food for thought

TonyThreePies · 13/08/2021 13:48

@Zampa

I wonder if the producers are so fed up with Jake trying to stage manage his appearance that they've exposed his game playing? I don't think I've ever seen a contestant discussing the TV aspect before and how things may appear.
This is what I think too. I think Lib is finally seeing the light but it's too late in the competition for her to move on, she won't rush to crack on with anyone and I think she will doubt herself and her judgement for a while to come. I think Jake's ignoring her and talking to Mary is a nod to the fact that he has seen Liam and Toby come back from bad behaviour stronger than ever and I think he's going to go for the big dramatic get back in Lib's good books gesture. I just hope she doesn't fall for it.
SugarCaneHarvest · 13/08/2021 14:09

Liberty is actually very articulate. I think she is a lot more intelligent that she sometimes sounds - if you listen to her words. She has a very girly, almost childish tone of voice though which makes her come across as a bit dizzy and simple. If she had Priya's accent she would be taken a lot more seriously.

I think she is very perceptive. She knows something is off with Jake. It is so late in the day though - she mentally must be thinking 'do I just go with this to the end of the show and then deal with it'.

I agree with the PP. I think Jake is planning on a last minute 'cold feet', lots of crying, lots of drama, lots of soul searching with the boys. He will then suddenly redeem himself, realise Liberty is the woman of his dreams, he just felt 'so vulnerable' as he has never felt like this before. He will then get down on one knee and declare he 'loves her' (in a suitably staged and choreographed manner) just in time for the final vote. Perfect romantic comedy ending.

TobysGreatAunt · 13/08/2021 14:12

What would be drama is if Jiberty won , money given to Jake and he doesn't share it ! 😱

I really hope he hasn't thought all that out! It would be a ridiculous level of manipulation.Shock
vjg13 · 13/08/2021 14:23

Liberty is a bright articulate woman who will hopefully get some good opportunities after LI.

HadEnoughOfBears · 13/08/2021 15:20

How are we on thread 16 already when it's been such a boring series?!

saltedcaramelanything · 13/08/2021 15:48

That would be psychotic level of manipulation @SugarCaneHarvest

But honestly, now I'm worried that's his plan! Shock

This is all exactly what i thought. Liberty is actually very perceptive, also astute. Jake definitely has a game plan here of how to curry favour just before the vote - and is trying to engineer some big argument they can come back from 'stronger;.
SugarCaneHarvest · 13/08/2021 16:08

@todaysdilemma he is so transparent isn't he. When Liberty once thought he had told her he loved her. He got a bit funny and said no, when I tell you I love you I will make it a special moment. You can just tell that he saving that for near to the end, so he can orchestrate it with the other housemates and have an episode revolve around it (and maximum air time).

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 13/08/2021 16:17

I just rewatched the whole Jake/Liberty thing as I wasn't really concentrating last night. Ooof that was cringe inducing. Especially when Faye said what are you doing, looking all like wtf?

He's SO awful. He very clearly wanted camera time. Hence the picking Kaz up like she was his long lost sister that he hadn't seen for hers . That was weird and Liberty is starting to realize. Thank fuck.

Although that level of game planning is horrifying I genuinely think you’ve got it pretty accurate
