I think they all needed to calm the fuck down after that stupid scene between Kaz and TyTy. All the squealing and screaming (and not just from Kaz for once) ... are they honestly about 12? They are all just puppets - Jake no more so than anyone else.

I'm about to make my first and only negative comment about an islander's appearance: I don't think Brett is attractive at all in any way shape or form and his greasy skin is particularly off-putting.

Jake was horrible the way he had his python arm round Liberty's neck and refused to listen to her. His hanging back made it look as though they set up the whole thing for Kaz.

Hated movie night when she was upset and he just kept saying something like 'what are you getting upset for?' over & over.

Also noticed Priya making a point of telling Liberty she was a beautiful angel. That was a nice touch.

I don't really agree with calling the islanders out on their looks or body shape (although they must realise going on a show like that will encourage lots of people to do so, and be prepared for that, to some extent) but lipstick/ make up choices are just that- their choices! As are clothing. So I think it's fair enough we can have an opinion on that.

^ Exactly. They’re all in there for Instagram followers and a PLT contract. If you truly believe they’ve gone in to find true love well . I’ll put money on Faye ditching that lipstick choice when she leaves the villa. It looks like she’s been eating a pot of Nutella with a spoon. They’re all very attractive people anyway or they wouldn’t be in there. I hated Faye, then loved her and now dislike her again. If a male contestant behaved like she did they would’ve been out on their ear. Whether she genuinely has feelings for Teddy I don’t know, but they won’t last last because of her next level jealousy. Teddy seems lovely, but could be an act.

I hope Jake IS playing a game because he gets a lot of hate, about his personality and appearance. I think that could be very difficult for him to deal with when he leaves the villa and realises the public really dislike him.

I wish we'd see more of Mary and new Aaron - doesntnseem like we 'know' them at all. He's nigh on invisible, but the little we see of her seems rather nice

When Kaz came out and the camera turned to Jake and Liberty, I'm pretty sure we half heard Jake muttering something like 'it will look better with just you'.
I bet he wouldn't have expected the show to actually screen the whole interaction, not just the end.
We also saw Faye looking at them and asking what they were doing.
It was all v awkward.

I think he is playing a game- the loved up gurrrrlfriend game. He looked so angry when he in the bottom 3- he clearly did think the public loved him.

Jakes not even doing a great job of playing the game at the moment. It’s obvious he should tell her she’s beautiful (as she is) but he seems to lack emotional intelligence.
Can’t make up my mind about Feddy, what she says obviously isn’t good, but they seem to be always together and she’s very tactile with him.

I'm going to have to rewatch the whole Jake and Liberty thing. Annoyed by myself that I care this much

I hope this week has been Liberty's wake up call with Jake. He is awful. He came into the show with a plan, and she's been taken along for the ride. The problem is, he's too stupid and obvious about it to pull the wool over the viewers' eyes. Liberty's lovely and genuine, I can see her winning purely on her own merit, if she wasn't with him. Can we get a Greg in for her please!

That so cringe by Jake. He was clearing trying to demonstrate 'Jibberty's' elevated status with the group and in relation to Kaz. By standing back and letting the 'lesser' housemates have their celebration first, he was trying to engineer an 'exclusive' celebration for them. So that they were front and centre of that episodes 'special moment' and so getting more individual airtime. So contrived and such a fail as they just looked awkward and out of place standing back whilst everyone else was oblivious to them. Such a tool.

The ones who don’t - want to.
That’s the premise of the programme and it is fair game to comment both negatively and positively about their looks.
If it was personality based, it wouldn’t be ok but it’s about looks.

Even the contestants laugh between themselves when a newbie declares they rate personality over looks and wait for the other gender to leave before saying ‘now tell us your type’.

Obviously but what is your point in relation to the contestants applying to go on a tv programme based on looks?

Attractiveness is always a valued commodity by humans, it is no point pretending otherwise or trying to change the world to not value it. And it’s clearly not just about looks, personality is critical, otherwise it would just be who is th best looking wins.

However attractiveness and beauty has always been a valued commodity and humans have always done what they can to improve that. From tribes in markings, hair styles, jewellery, through to yes hair extensions, make up or surgerical procedures. There’s nothing new under the sun here in terms of looks being valued. Nothing at all.

Am secretly hoping that Liberty will get together with Brett. Think he actually fancies her far more than Priya.

Jake really deserves to see Liberty crack on with someone else, whilst he gets dumped from the island...

I have rewatched the stupid Jake but where he holds Liberty back. Not sure how I missed it. Anyway, he's a fucking weirdo. Even if he thought it best for Liberty to wait (he didn't, he was just trying to stage a particular scene for his own benefit and the air time), it wasn't his place to hold her back and force her to behave a certain way. Horrible gnome man

I wonder if the producers are so fed up with Jake trying to stage manage his appearance that they've exposed his game playing? I don't think I've ever seen a contestant discussing the TV aspect before and how things may appear.

I doubt the producers cared how any of them behave or gameplay.. They were probably showing it now to create some drama as there is nothing happening in there. They just want to keep the views up.

Yes, big red flags with Jakes behaviour. I hope the fabulous lap dances haven't diverted her attention from that behaviour. I have always thought he has treated her like a prop with a long game to win. She is absolutely lovely. He's playing a game and she could do much better.
