Like in Ice Road Truckers. Before the advert they show him screaming and spinning the wheel, close up of tyres struggling to grip the ice etc. After the advert you find out he dropped his crisps.

Yeah and to be fair he's dumbed it down himself so has not helped with the perception. I'm pretty sure his thesis is not going to be on 'exercise'.

The thing I find quite amusing is that Brett is studying for his PhD. Makes me think of all the MN threads advising people not to give their children “chavvy” names as it’ll hinder their success in life. Can’t get any more chavvy than Brett!

I do think Priya has gone for him because of the PhD as opposed to his looks and personality. Nothing wrong with that, just my opinion.

Absolutely. Hugo thought he was special because he was a qualified teacher. Brett is way further up the ladder and has answered questions about his occupation with as much emphasis on modelling as education. He’s so chiselled.
Brad and Lucinda were beautiful but Praia and Brett are just as beautiful. They are like beautiful race horses.

Not wishing to piss on the bonfire, but Brett is studying for a PHD in health and fitness, I think he said. It’s hardly astrophysics and it’s certainly not the same as training to be an actual doctor

It's a lot of work and you do have to be bright or at least hardworking and diligent.

It's a bit unfair to say his PHD is Mickey Mouse - it will be very science based.

Priya is lovely and if Dr Alex can make a good career as a celeb Dr...then she definitely can!

Her body is fantastic, she is very delicately built and lean and strong. She's trying to fit in, which must be a culture shock, but she's coming across as very friendly.

Yeah, this is harsh. Sport and Exercise Medicine is a specialty in its own right. Some of the people that practice in this field are orthopaedic surgeons so it's hardly 'PE'.

After movie night she was also the one telling Lib that Jake's reaction to the clip and how he didn't reassure her wasn't okay.

I know she'll get accused of just playing the game, trying to break up one of the strong couples. But hopefully she sees the snakiness of Jake

In my experience you would generally only really describe a medical doctor in this way. Unless it's a medical qualification I'd expect him to say something like, "yes, that'll technically be my title if I wanted to use it" or "Well, I'll have a doctorate, yes". IYSWIM?

In fact it is medical doctors who have the courtesy title. Something Priya would have known.

@TheWindRises Again - another mistake on my part! I thought gaining a doctorate meant your academic title was "Dr" (although most of us choose not to use on a day-to-day basis).
