I have missed a couple of episodes. Can anyone update me about the coming soon clip shown where Liberty is questioning her relationship - where has this come from. What’s caused her to say that?

Not sure @condensationwindows because they were pretty solid in the last few eps

I think what she saw on screen last week will be playing on her mind.

I don't really get the love for Matt, I normally love the Irish accent but his voice was so monotone and dull!

It’ll be something minor like he asked her to make him a coffee and didn’t thank her.

On another note, I definitely think Brett is the best looking bloke in there. Couldn’t see it at all with Matt. Just as well we all find different people attractive.

Everything else aside I don't think Lliberty would be able to stay with Jake after he basically said he wasn't attracted to her (nor should she). She might have thought at first she could get past it but yes, it will be playing on her mind.

I felt the same. I'm from NI but live in England and usually love hearing NI accents on TV and radio but his seems so forced and almost too polite. I think you're right re monotone and that's what put me off him.

Agree with pp who said Brett gave her the heebie jeebies. He does the same with me but can't explain why - he seems to smirk a lot.

Priya is simply stunning. It's great having a naturally beautiful and intelligent woman in there - wish she'd been in from the start with some men who were good enough for her (not this lot with the exception of perhaps Teddy).

He seems more grown up, intelligent and confident (but not in a cocky way) that the others. He has piercing eyes so I can seem what Priya meant when she could look at them forever Together with Priya they are so different from the existing ones that appear quite childish and self absorbed with silly games and for some the only way to express emotion is to swear at the entire villa like a hyena on the rampage.

We all like different things, I found his voice bland and monotone and not attracted to him in the slightest.

I’m another one, who doesn’t get the love for Matt. He’s one of those people, who I would want to shake and plead to give me some vibrancy. He seems monotone and lacking charisma.

At first look, I was quite surprised at Brett. He has a slight receding hairline, never been seen before. Didn’t get the hate though. He appears to be charming in the right way and on first glance at least, perfectly suited for Priya. Most certainly hand picked. Rather like Camilla and Josh. I wonder if this is deliberate as the formula worked last time and they’re still together?

The thing I find quite amusing is that Brett is studying for his PhD. Makes me think of all the MN threads advising people not to give their children “chavvy” names as it’ll hinder their success in life.
Can’t get any more chavvy than Brett!

I do think Priya has gone for him because of the PhD as opposed to his looks and personality. Nothing wrong with that, just my opinion.

I don't think Brett's chavvy, it sounds quite American to me. Perhaps she has, it's hard to get to know someone probably in the space of less than a day, he seems attractive to me so not out of the realms that she does too.

@Rachwoal I’m from Derbyshire where Brett is from and now live in South Yorkshire and the Bretts at school were the chavvy ones. Quite Jeremy Kyle type. Brett is like McKenzie, Kyle, Leanne, Lacey-May, Kayden, Jayden etc round here.

I don’t blame her. It makes sense to pair with someone with similar goals and aspirations to yourself. She had a really tough choice after 24 hours!

That's an interesting point. Love Island keeps its' name in the media all year round from articles on previous contestants and their relationships. I can't see any of this year's established couples working on the outside like Tommy and Mollie Mae and Finn and Paige have. Perhaps as a badge of success and also to deflect from the Faye rampage they want an ongoing relationship post the series and Priya being classy and calm is the perfect one to lift the show's reputation... as long as they found the right man for her.

Not wishing to piss on the bonfire, but Brett is studying for a PHD in health and fitness, I think he said. It’s hardly astrophysics and it’s certainly not the same as training to be an actual doctor

I reckon Lib is having doubts after the casa footage and Jake being in the bottom 3 boys. They’re not the golden couple they wanted to be.

I love that Priya and Brett are not the usual LI types, we need more of that, not just clever/ posh but just more variety. Dad bods/ tattoos/ peircings/ hippy / rock/ chilled etc I don’t want to watch a load of nothingy model types have fake dramas.

The Aus LI a few years ago was SO GOOD. Just all seemed more natural, and although I’m sure some scripted parts it didn’t feel that way.

Liberty should have coupled up with Kaz. Least she has more chemistry with her!!

Yes she did. Think she said they were the first to graduate.
