I think they might save Amy and Hugo, only as they can probably guess hugo isn't overly popular now and lots of them are eyes on the prize at this stage. Keeping the others in and allowing the new couples to form poses more of a potential threat, but if the boys and girls are choosing separately then who knows! I'd say it's fairly certain Sam and Clarisse will be gone unfortunately. I do hope Mary goes as she comes across as boring yet mean, and Tyler doesn't seem to bring a good side of Kaz out, for her sake hopefully he goesA

I would much prefer it if they actually let the public vote on who to drop. None of this picking and choosing nonsense.

Lowest votes = out. Whoever's left, has to just deal with it.

I think they're far too comfortable because they know they still retain some control over the villa. May be they would be a bit nicer overall if they weren't relying on their mates to save them, but instead the public.

[Apart from the start when Shannon had to go immediately as the 1st single girl - I think mostly the other islanders have had some say in who to dump from the bottom voted.]

I agree. The originals are running the game show.

I agree that it should simply be the lowest votes leave, but the producers are obviously manipulating it to ensure those they want to stay in do. They know if x are in the bottom if we ask the islanders to do y they will probably choose z which is who we want.

Totally agree that the public should have the vote. Faye, Millie and Liberty somehow feel like they own the place - did you see all the knowing looks and winks between them as they got saved last night.

I didn’t see them as knowing looks, more like a bond between people who have shared a ‘home’ for a while. It must be pretty intense knowing you’re filmed all the time and can be edited however they want. Being saved shows they are popular, which may for them confirm that the people they like, are also being seen as nice on the outside. That would be pretty important to people in their 20s imho.

The girls and boys have to decide separately don’t they? So potentially the girls could choose Tyler for kaz but the boys assume the girls will want to save Hugo and save Amy

I'm not sure how it will go with the boys- probably Tyler for Kaz, not sure how well liked Hugo is ) after the row with Toby, plus there was a convo last night about him and Amy (can't remember who with) when he pretty much admitted he wasn't arsed about her so it must look to them.like he will never find anyone. I don't know about his sexuality, I do think there's not been anyone 'good enough' (read posh enough) for him, with the exception of Chloe.

Girls, Clarisse is out and absolutely fair play to her for not wanting to hang around if there's nobody she is interested in. I get the impression she has bigger fish to fry in real life. They will probably keep Mary. Depends how much goodwill there is for Hugo.

I understand Kaz was blindsided by Tyler coming back with another girl and was trying to make the best of things with Matthew (who seems great). However, she has shown a manipulative streak in berating him for not cuddling her etc when she's made clear she still wants Tyler. I can see she has been hurt but she's showing no empathy towards Matthew.

Dale pissed me off. Maybe it was editing but he definitely spoke to Abi and gave the impression he was quite interested. It's fine that he only wanted to focus on Mary but how was Abi supposed to know? Dale should have been nicer to her when they discussed this, instead of looking away. I didn't like Sam's behaviour much earlier but Mary was so ungracious and spoilt at the recoupling. Why was it such a problem for her to just say something friendly? That must have felt really humiliating.

It's a bit of a funny series, not as much of a bond/ adherence to etiquette/ being nice/ whatever. And no real bromance!

Did anyone see Milly and Liam on the benches in the final stages of the kissing challenge? They were clearly having a heated ‘discussion’ by their body language (IMO). I guess he was unhappy with her not trying too hard in the challenge. She’s not giving in lightly. And Hugo hugging Amy by the pool- his palms were resting on her waist but his finger tips were raised like he was trying to reduce contact as much as possible. I wondered early on if he may still be with his gf and - like a pp said in one of the first threads - was in this to try and kick start a Joe Wicks style career post LI. Most of his displays of affection have been either the challenges where he ‘has to’ or at night when he may assume he’s got more chance of getting away with it (assuming he has a gf watching at home).

Although that insta photo someone posted last night does look highly suspect!

I also wonder if the boys might believe the girls will save Hugo and so they may then save Amy instead of Mary.

If Hugo was trying to kick start a joe wicks style career, he's ended it before it started! He's very much disliked on all socials now (Twitter etc) and when even publications like Grazia and Cosmo are talking about him being rude, code switching, wasting time - that's not good publicity (that'd be his main demographic on IG). He's also never offering to give anyone workout sessions or working out himself - so that's not cementing his rep as a fitness trainer either. I remember Gabby in one season who was a PT would be giving girls and guys exercise sessions most days. Anton who is a PT was always shown working out. The lack of charisma and woodenness doesn't leave many media opportunities either sadly.

I think he is hung up on Chloe still. He was more tactile and flirty with her (rubbing her bum etc) and he looked really pissed off when she got back with Toby. I think it’s time for Hugo to go, he’s not particularly entertaining and it’s dragged out long enough, not sure where his ‘love island story’ can go now. He’s clearly lost the initial popularity with viewers too so I imagine it’s true the producers are keen to let him go.
I think I’d prefer Amy to stay out of the girls.

This definitely. He was probably a ‘big name’ and popular with the girls in that limited social circle of similar people all with the same backgrounds etc. But put into a group of a mix of people/ages/backgrounds from the real world and it doesn’t necessarily translate across.

I'd much rather any of the CA lot stayed than Hugo or Tyler who have had their fair crack at the show and botched it in different ways. Fairer to let Sam stay and see what evolves. I agree Clarisse wants to go and respect her for her stance last night (sans heels!) saying she can crack on in real life, doesn't need to get with someone she doesn't like out of desperation. Especially when someone like Tyler is doing the opposite. Out of Mary and Amy, I'd be intrigued to see how Amy would change if Hugo went and she had options, but suspect Mary will get to stay because of Dale.

Like others, I fear that Kaz will get the girls to keep Tyler, though that's not good for either of them or Matt. I guess there's a chance they could keep Hugo because of OG loyalty, but he's had more than enough time in there and it would probably be better for him to head off now anyway.

So I'm hoping for Sam and Amy/Mary. But suspect it'll be Tyler and Mary.

The divide does seem a lot bigger this year between the originals and CA, that said, I hope Clarisse goes for her own sake as she's better than all of this. Even if none of the others dislike her (I mean there are other mean girls in there like Faye and they like her if that is why?), it wouldn't be two faced to just say are you okay. Mary doesn't seem to come across well in the bits we see, but again hard to tell what she's actually like.

The thing is, with such a big divide between the new people and old, no-one they bring into the villa is ever going to get a fair chance at 'finding love' (or getting to the end). In which case they might as well not bother sending new people in.

I think this lot are the most unwelcoming that I've seen (compared with past series), I would absolutely hate to be one of the new ones in there (as a man or woman) - just seems like a cold and hostile environment.

It is so beyond Hugo's time to go.
But I could see him staying as he has racked up the favours with the girls being in friendship couples.
No idea who the men will pick, I can see them doing an ip dip as their not that bothered.

I agree the divide is much bigger this year, the girls normally settle in with the other girls quicker than this but this year there is definitely more of a separate group. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone upset and not a single person go after them to see if they are ok, even if it’s just for the gossip!

DH tells me it was leaked on the sun that Tyler and Clarisse are saved, not sure how true that is though!

I would prefer Mary to stay to see how it develops with Dale. I think it’s Hugo’s time to go now, I don’t like Amy either and they have zilch chemistry. Thoroughly obsessed with Teddy and Faye tho, they have mad chemistry. Mille is a queen but Liam has fucked their chance of winning IMO.

I very much doubt he was a big name at uni and suspect he was perceived there just like he is on love island, a cold fish who is entitled and quite mysogynistic

I reckon you're right here as we have hardly seen him. It's been Kaz constantly! Wish she would go along with Tyler- bored of it now.

Yes I thought so too. I wonder if the girls have been told they have to wear their heels all night? I felt really sorry for her last night. Tyler was treating her like a piece of meat, suggesting the stays because other people like her. It was embarrassing. She is a grown woman and he is trying to pass her around.

In fact watching that scene made me realise how horrible this show is.

I hope Clarissa leaves, she is way better than this show. In fact I hope Teddy ditches Faye and sods off with Clarrissa.

I also find it hard to believe that Hugo was a big fish at university. He has neither looks or personality and I've never heard of anyone being a name for playing cricket at Uni.

Agree too about how unfriendly the original women are being with the CA women. I was also shocked that no one went after Clarisse when she was upset. I think this unfriendliness may well be having in impact on Mary's overall mood too. I'd hate being the outsider in there.
