Ok, seen First Look. Faye has a nasty nasty quite terrifying temper. That coupled with all the nasty digs she's STILL making at Teddy for his sandals, interests, personality - this is a highly abusive woman. Absolutely no justification of being hurt, insecure etc is valid here. Imagine it will be very uncomfortable viewing for a lot of people. If she were a man, Womens Aid would come down heavily. Teddy needs to do a Matt and just end things.
Totally agree, I wonder if we'll see any organisations (rightly) publicly calling out some of Faye's behaviour as abusive/gaslighting in the same way they have done with some of the males in the past
Zampa · 06/08/2021 16:04

If I'm being kind to Faye, I see her as someone with very strong ideas of what is right and wrong, with no flexibility which leads to her clashing with others. She's also very proud, so even when she has worked out she's wrong, she can't back down for fear of losing face.

If I'm being unkind, she's an unreasonable, foul mouthed harridan, who brow beats people into submission or until they run away.

Or maybe both.

Blueskythinking123 · 06/08/2021 16:05

Watched first look. For Faye's emotional health and those around her, they need to remove her from the villa.

Christinayangtwistedsister · 06/08/2021 16:11

I've always felt a bit sorry for Kaz tbh, she was dumped by Toby, no one fancied her, Tyler promised her the world and then let her down . Has she behaved well with Matthew ? No but I think she learned to keep her options opened to protect herself and she learned that in there

Faye belittles people and that isn't alright ( I'm too feart to mention anything further about her lipstick now)

Is it bad?
Winemewhynot · 06/08/2021 16:16

Oh god I was so believing in Faye and teddy but she went off the chart yesterday. First the comments about their incompability but what we see doesn’t seem suggestive of that at all. If her previous relationships have been so abusive as to fuck her up this much how the hell has she passes a psych evaluation?! Poor teddy he doesn’t deserve this, and I suspect he’s had his own relationship traumas given his comment about he thought he’s never a trust a woman again the other day 😭

NorthernWhiteRhino · 06/08/2021 16:18

Faye is so disappointing. There are times when she is hilarious and quite endearing. As soon as she is on the defensive though, she behaves appallingly. I felt so sad for Teddy. Attacks at your personality hurt the most as it is the essence of a person. Whilst he sat there feeling humiliated she was screeching and laughing as though the whole thing was hilarious. As he said, his feelings mattered for nothing.

I honestly hopes she dumps him. She clearly doesn't like him, it is almost as though she feels embarrassed of him - when in reality he is the coolest and nicest person in there by far.

KarenofSparta · 06/08/2021 16:20

I wouldn't worry too deeply though. From what I can gather on my socials, Teddy certainly won't be short of offers when leaves.

But that doesn't make her not abusive. Abusive behaviour is an absolute - belittling someone in public, shouting in their face, abusive language, little put downs constantly. Especially when your partner is NOT reacting that way to you. This is also the second time she's spoken to him this way. On After Sun, they showed Teddy's friend and brother and they both looked quite shocked at how she was reacting at the recoupling post CA. Cannot imagine what his family will be feeling tonight.

I don't really care to understand the 'why', just like I wouldn't for any man physically and verbally abusing his partner. If we saw someone behave like this in a restaurant - we wouldn't be discussing why they might be that way. We'd just call the manager. Or the police.

I so agree, I've watched every series of Love Island and I actually don't think I l can watch tonight based on first look.
FirstTimeMommy2021 · 06/08/2021 16:37

@Monestera

Anywho - This is an open thread for LI enthusiasts and yes we are all guilty for commenting on people's appearances and actions etc because let's face it we are predominantly a female group and bitching is what we do best as well as gossiping

Speak for yourself Hmm

You missed the lol off. When I said bitching is what we do best I was only joking I just trying to finish my post off light heartedly.

And Nope not speaking for myself for commenting on the contestants, you only have to scroll back and go through the all other LI threads to see I am not speaking for myself 😁

TheTallOakTrees · 06/08/2021 16:40

@todaysdilemma

I saw that on Twitter too.

What was really depressing on Twitter is the number of young women who think Matt was at fault for not chasing her and trying to win her over from Tyler. Because they've normalised this fckboi behaviour (of shitting all over boundaries) as the real measure of a good man. So Matt's self respect and knowing when to say, 'I'm done', is an alien concept. It's not a prolonged, toxic back and forth argument so they think it's not 'real love', and he was never really interested.

So while the producers may try to add some drama, a lot of it is just the contestants and their own dating behaviours come to light.

I was sad to see Abi friend zone Matt too. She really is much more lively and engaging with the men she doesn't fancy! Was the same with Sam.

How sad if young girls/women really think that .

Odd way to go about things

Steakandcheeseplease · 06/08/2021 16:41

Ive just seen first look. Faye is a bully. She was still making horrible comments about Teddies clothes in spite. She then escalated it fast with Jake to take the heat of her self. Then it looks like she has exploded and started raging at every one.

All because she was shown up in the first clips.

I agree she needs to be taken out but because of her aggressive behaviour. if it was a bloke views would be complaining, I was absolutely spot on about her.

TheTallOakTrees · 06/08/2021 16:45

I agree he seems lovely and not the sort to be drawn into a shouting swearing match with F who does that constant put down of him/others. It's quite vile to watch. If a man was screaming, swearing, insulting the way she does.......Hmm and that perpetual excuse given that she has been hurt on the past. Lots of people have been hurt but don't treat others as she does
ThomasHardyPerennial · 06/08/2021 16:47

I just can't stand the shouting. I hope Teddy walks away, there is no reasoning when someone is like that. Screeching at people isn't having an argument, that is just you being out of control. Your point gets lost, and you lose the high ground.

Handy that Faye's standards for other people's behaviour, doesn't seem to apply to her own Hmm.

QueenBee52 · 06/08/2021 16:57

Medhy went into the Villa and fancied Kaz.. she wasn't interested .. he was gorgeous.. more fool her..

Instead she chose Matthew and pissed in his feelings by bouncing back to Tyler who treated her like crap..

And that speech about RESPECT.. she should think long and hard about how hypocritical she is.. she's behaved just like Toby.. pair of prats

Hopeisallineed · 06/08/2021 17:10

@bemoretiger totally agree. That’s it for me I’m
afraid. I don’t want to watch that kind of stuff, it’s not entertainment and nothing I want to witness. Poor Teddy.

HotAndGrumpy · 06/08/2021 17:14

Come on Teddy, DUMP Faye. She is abussive. He deserves so much better.

Puffalicious · 06/08/2021 17:18

A black woman is not allowed to be multifaceted. She is not allowed to be vulnerable. She is not allowed to make a mistake Says who Lamp? Will you and Zampa stop making this whole, entire, light-hearted thread about your agenda of race? If people on Twitter have behaved badly go and complain there. No-one here has displayed racist views and it's NOT about Kaz's colour it's about her poor behaviour. FFS leave it alone- you're flogging a dead horse and no-one likes it: read the room.

spookycookies · 06/08/2021 17:19

I think it's the producers at fault. You could see how this was going to go a mile off. I assume that there is a clip of teddy and clarisse on there which shows him pulling her for a chat/did he ask to sleep in her bed? Something along those lines. Of course Faye was going to react badly to that.
I'll reserve judgment on whether she's abusive until I've seen it in full context.

I'm surprised Faye lasted this long. She's too old to be acting like this, insecurities or not. Grew to like her after the Casa Anor reunion but it looks like she hasn't changed at all.

She definitely would be called abusive as a man, and all the Twitter support for her is so, so hypocritical

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 06/08/2021 17:24

I am going to feel really uncomfortable watching tonight. I still haven’t decided whether to or not actually.
I really feel for Teddy. I remember when he first went in and made a comment about being intimate everyone came on saying oh he’s sleazy etc but he’s actually shown what a genuine, mature man he is.
He deserves someone similar to him. Faye is not that, unfortunately. I loved to see her walls coming down but tonight’s behaviour is completely unacceptable. He looks beyond hurt. He looks devastated.

HotAndGrumpy · 06/08/2021 17:24

Puffalicious

So most people dislike Toby and Tyler because of their behaviour. Everyone loves Freddy. Most people think Clarisse was gorgeous/ nice and should have been treated better.

Kaz acts like a diva and gaslights Matt and anyone who comments is a racist.

Sometimes coming up with crap like this is counterproductive.
