Recommend a half hour comedy series for me?

Just finished This Way Up and I need something else to fill my half hour gap. Prefrably something with lots of episodes

I like to have a drama on the go (Borgen at the moment) and a comedy.

Recently I've loved:

Detectorists
The Good Place
Catastrophe
Schitt's Creek
Derry Girls
Fleabag

I never seem to like animations, didn't take to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and have seen all the usuals (Frends, How I met your Mother etc too many times.)

Thank you Smile

Another vote for Ghosts (2 series) and Motherland (3 series). Mum (3 series) was excellent but not sure if they are still on iplayer. Same for There She Goes (2 series). I really enjoyed The Great and my kids loved The Goes Wrong Show. The Other One was a grower, ended up being a much more subtle comedy than I thought it was going to be.

Loved Borgen so much, quite jealous that you are watching it for the first time. Probably one of my favourite shows of all time and am a complete fangirl of Sidse Babett Knudsen.

Another vote for Motherland.

I can’t remember how long the episodes last but for lighthearted comedy drama maybe try Offspring it gets really good and addictive after about episode 3 and Five bedrooms (both Australian).

Ted Lasso is great.

Ted Lasso is amazing. Sadly there aren’t many episodes. Season 2 has just started though and it really is worth it.

Mrs Fisher Murder Mysteries, it's so brilliant

Kayemm · 02/08/2021 18:48

How could I forget Motherland and Ghosts? Both brilliant. Ghosts starts again next week Grin

We don't have Apple tv or I really fancied Ted Lasso.

Lots to go at. Thank you for your ideas.
