It's summer. Seems wrong to start the new series and University Challenge now. Gave it a miss.

nice to see an NL YCN NCT thread - I love this show, and H and I play along as a team. We reckon we did better than the teams this week - got the music round, the Arnie question, and ET in two clues. Basically I'm good at the lowbrow stuff(spotted the Don'tcha sequence!). I am terrible at the walls though, they're very much H's department.

When do the series normally start? My ed said I'm sure they've just finished! I always thought they were wintery programmes.
Anyway, love both esp OC, and thank you to @SometimesIFeedTheSparrows for the link. I may have been spending some time on them, but some are very frustrating.

I'm not a Disney resort person some of those surprised me! Selfie sticks and folding chairs, why?

It's a while since we went, but I assumed that the selfie stick ban, would be to stop you using it as a weapon and/or preventing inappropriate photos. But who really knows.

Folding chairs is so that people don't settle down in a clump and get in the way of those who are moving around.

I fell pretty smug as I got most of the questions in the first two rounds - though the music one was a wild guess simply based on the name of the 4th one (it's often the 'obvious' one)

I watch it but I record and watch later.

My claim to fame is that I'm know someone on last year's winning team.

I got lion because my grandad used to know all the words to The Lion and Albert.

Dd19 got the lot... some of it before the contestants... I got a few, but was absolutely gobsmacked at her performance... she just said "this quizmaster thinks how I do"

Will I get lynched if I tell you that the reason you do quite well on the missing vowels is that the TV audience are shown the letters slightly before the contestants are?
