I know maybe I shouldn't say this, but does anyone else think that there's something not quite right about same difference?

for brother/sister they just seem too close, too ... can't put my finger on it but it just feels wrong.

I do think people are slightly mad as well.

Seeing incest because siblings come from a close knit happy family.

Really, we live in strange times.

lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:01

exactly. they can sing and dance at the same time, which is more than can be said for most of the other acts. its a shame that we live in a world where closeness in siblings can be misinterpreted.

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:03

wannaBe, that's no secret, they were put together at bootcamp, as were the boys, Futureproof(?). They all auditioned separately and for some reason they were told to form groups. Actually, I think the young girl is really good ad probably should have gone through as a solo act.

I don't like Same Difference at all for the X Factor, and thought they were quite disrespectful to their supporters in the old club they used to sing in tonight 'we don't want to end up back there'.

I'd like to see Rhydian win.

LittleBella · 24/11/2007 23:05

I thought they were all a bit like that tbh. "Don't wanna go back there". I did think ooh, you won't get many votes then

lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:06

but of course they dont want to go back, they want to win!

JodieG1 · 24/11/2007 23:07

I don't think there's anything wrong in saying they don't want to go back here, who would after singing live on national tv? I don't think it was being disrespectful at all.

paolosgirl · 24/11/2007 23:08

Exactly! Lets think about it...winning X factor and a million pound (or wahtever) recording contract, or back to the old, boring, going-nowhere life. Not a hard choice really!!!

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:08

I know, but the others were saying they didn't want to go back to work in a shop etc. They were saying they are too good to sing in a club - and they are not.

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:09

Amd actually, I've seen better singers in my local club.

wannaBe · 24/11/2007 23:09

no. Sean went to audition alone but Sarah turned up on the day and he was forced to audition with her instead.

i think they are. i can't in all honesty see them having a credible career in music but they are all round entertainers. and they deserve to be in the top 5

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:11

Oh sorry wannaBe, I thought you were talking about Hope.

wannaBe · 24/11/2007 23:13

here

there is a link in the posting but my internet keeps going down so won't let me open it.

Lissie, where do you think they will go next then if they don't have a credible career in music? Back to the clubs, that's where! I think Louis is right about them.

wannaBe · 24/11/2007 23:16

but they don't even currently sing in clubs - they entertain in their local old people's home.

There's no way they will win. And imo they don't have a career ahead of them - they might make an album but I really don't think it will sell.

lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:17

i think that they will end up presenting a saturday morning show. they are nice, wholesome and kids LOVE them. they are also v talented. they never sing off-key! much better than any acts Ive heard in clubs!

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:21

Lissie, you're going to the wrong clubs!

lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:23

obviously!

seriosly, i really like them and think that they are very talented. hope cant sing in key every time. nikki can't sing AND dance. they will end up presenting a saturday morning kids show, mark my words. (they won't win, Rhydian will)

wannaBe · 24/11/2007 23:24

but they don't have original talent.

yes they sing well together but imo they will only ever do covers.

they're like a europop act.

OP posts:
lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:30

but they are likeable.

Scotia · 24/11/2007 23:31

I agree with you lissie. I think they will probably get to the final, but hopefully common sense will prevail and Rhydian will win. It really is a one horse race this year, to my mind. I liked Hope when they did the Amy Winehouse song a couple of weeks back, and I don't think Nikki is going to get much further (I think Bev was better than her). Leon is riding his luck too, although he was quite good tonight. I said before (maybe on a different thread) that I think SD made a decent job of their song tonight, I just don't like them personally.

lissielewzealand · 24/11/2007 23:43

i predict a Rhydian, Nikki and Same Difference final.

Nikki's played the sympathy card a bit too often and is a bit of a one trick pony.

Same Difference are good but not good enough to win.

Rhydian, well when he sang "you raise me up" (a song i hate) i cried. and it still gives me goose bumps now. he is soooo good, its not even funny!

anniebear · 25/11/2007 19:52

yes, SD...I could see presenting kids saturday morning tv

DeathBySnooSnoo · 25/11/2007 22:21

rhydian is the only talented one in the whole thing.

i must say i am shocked to see 'phoebe' and 'sing' together in a sentence.i think 'shout' is the correct term for what comes out of her gob.
hope are just simon cowell's sexual fantasy and have not an ounce of talent between them

Tommy · 25/11/2007 22:48

lol deathbysnoosnoo
I thought that about Hope yesterday - even DH expressed an opinion

They don't have any personality as far as I can see. I also wouldn't want my 16 year old daughter writing around like that, dressed like that
