I am just saying that the narrative that women get work done 'for themselves and not for anyone else' is horseshit, and comes from women who have been conditioned by the patriarchy to think that happiness comes from fake breasts and lip filler.

the narrative that women get plastic surgery for the one same reason only is horseshit. Different people have different motivations, some might be connected to the male gaze and patriarchy, others not.

The problem is that a lot of men say they don't like the fake look, but they still expect women to look perfect. Young men have incredibly easy access to porn now, and are just as bombarded with images of 'perfect' photoshopped women on social media as women are. They expect them to be hairless and have perfect tits and glowing skin at all times, but that doesn't happen naturally! I don't think a lot of men have a real grip on what real women and real women's bodies actually look like either.

Absolutely and utter pish (that's the Glaswegian coming out in me). You can't project what you feel onto an entire nation of women/ half the world's population. This is so far from the reality it's fucking ridiculous. Why would I feel like I should get plastic surgery after watching a few 20 somethings on a lightweight programme? Jesus. Did feminism pass you by? Do you think that we're all little women who are swayed by the wind/ what influencers/ reality TV stars do?

I am mad at the stupid women who get things done to fall into the 'must look a certain way' crap - they are letting us women down. Stop buying into the crap. Stop young women from feeling like they need to MUTILATE their bodies. Tell women they are beautiful when they are unique and natural. No one needs to be a clone so stop allowing men to decide what you should look like (the sex doll look). We don't need to look like that at all.

My 15 year old Son goes to school with normal natural looking girls. I have mentioned how naturally pretty some of his friends are. He does make comments when woman have had their lips done and loads of make up. I also tell him that personality matters too.

Well I have been with the same bloke for nearly 20 years and when I was dating there was no social media so things are quite different now I think. I don't know, I think I am also projecting a bit because I have pre-teens, a boy and a girl, and I am pretty terrified about the world they are about to navigate!

Just seen first look.. looks like Aaron palms Sharon off for Millie!

Just remembered another little moment from last night. Before Hugo realised he'd done anything wrong he went to stand with everyone else at the bar. He was standing near Sharon and Rachel and then Sharon said in a really pointed way "I'm moving away" and Rachel immediately piped up "me too" and they both scuttled off to bitch about him. Rachel acted exactly like a 12 year old in a playground around the queen bee. Pathetic. I've stopped feeling a bit sorry for her about Brad now I've remembered that!

Pffffttt 10pm tonight…. Think I’ll be having a double whammy of it tomorrow in that case! It’s definitely not riveting enough this year to keep me awake that late 😑

Bang on. Parents bowing down to a boob job for an 18th birthday are part of the problem in my view.

And, yes, I DO blame the individuals getting surgery- who could possibly look in the mirror with lips like Faye and think it looks good in any way? Vanity is very unattractive I.e. all of them in there!!!
