10 Years Younger In 10 Days anyone?

I've just discovered this and it's been my "background telly" this weekend. I used to watch it back in the day, but I was young then. Now I'm older, it's really struck me how much emphasis there is on looking younger.

Listening to the women's stories I wish they'd make it, "Feel 10 Years Younger In 10 Days"!

I miss Trinny and Susannah - they taught people how to dress themselves well and gave them a lovely capsule wardrobe to get started.
I think this show doesn't make these people look younger, it just makes them look more groomed. Mostly they don't look old in the first place, they just need tidying up a bit.
Often I don't like the end result - the clothes don't seem to fit properly or look comfortable. They should dress people for their lives.

Scrap that. Yellow hair.

Tonight's was interesting! I didn't like either of the hair do's. The fashion stylist is awful. It's like she's raided someone's dressing up box!

Omg .. the poor teacher looks years older. Such severe hair and harsh colouring . She is so pretty naturally.

I hate the clothes they put them in. Tonight's both looked like Bonnie Tyler.

The teacher just needed some hair dye and make up. Not yellow hair, orange face and all the awful leather.

I am probably in the minority but I loved the curls. Not the colour. Just the curls. Was it a perm or a frenzied curling tong thing? My cousin has curly hair and I’m well jel. (Plus a curl would maybe hide my bald bits?)

The rest. I don’t know what the fascination is with animal print, sparkles and stuff that looks as though it could wipe clean.

I want to see folk dressed for walking the dog, going out for lunch, going to the shops, a relaxed day at home.

Of course that isn’t so radical a change but we ain’t all going to Beverley’s party. Give them confidence and a capsule to look their best doing ordinary things.

I’m a shadow dweller. I would totally benefit from a long 30 years younger. (Aye that much) But jjmatwd if they put me in glitter I’d be begging to go back to the dark.

Tonight's was bloody awful, they made the 40 year old look 10 years older. She was beautiful and could have looked amazing.

They made the other lady look like a character from hocus pocus.

They need to change the stylist, she's not very current.

Shocking so called 'makeovers!' Both women looked older not younger, with pantomime orange makeup and awful fancy dress clothes.The 40 year old was naturally beautiful and could have looked stunning with elegant and classic styling.
The other lady was also pretty but she was made a mockery of with that dreadful 80's perm and an outfit that looked as though she was auditioning for Wicked! Both the creepy hairdresser and dreadful stylist need sacking, they are utterly clueless!

Findingthis a tricky watch. When they do the age in the street it is SO high. And the critiques of she’s let herself go, or she looks tired. Well maybe she is!!! Life eh!!! And actually how long lasting are these makeovers. The best bit is the teeth. The hair has been awful .
it’s all very reductionist down to a woman’s worth being how she looks. It makes me feel uncomfortable I think!

They ask kids to estimate ages, and they haven't a clue. They say things like "she's let herself go" "she's not bothered about her hair" which are not indicators of anyone's age.

Just caught up with that episode. What they did to Taryn was shocking. I think the stylist picks okay clothes for the trying in bit but then completely mucks it up at the end.

People who have struggled with the basics are unlikely to maintain bleached or highly permed very styled hair! They would be much better giving them something that fits with their real lives.

I know I was really shocked as I thought she had lovely dark hair that suited her, she'd just gone a bit grey but I thought they would keep her colour and just go over the grey but WTF.

Ugh I just got caught up with this, poor Taryn was definitely a naturally beautiful woman, everything from the makeup to the hair and clothes for her reveal was all wrong!

Both makeovers were awful.
Don’t know why they always do dressed for a night out. Should give them a choice.

I’m hate watching this now. I wonder what crimes against fashion and beauty they’ll inflict on these two?

Well if they go more orangey for foundation this week, they will be bordering satsuma territory.

asking young folk the age of anyone with a laughter line is asking for a high age.

The woman does not need a massive makeover. She has a lovely face.

The bloke looks fine. Tidier beard and bob would be yer uncle.

But yes. Last week the well spoken teacher just looked tired and rundown. Then she transformed into a Blondie/Toyah hybrid 😲
